So if then 21st is delayed .....

Tab 3a, I can’t see any increase in the number of deaths or a change in the age groups, in fact the number of deaths looks lower than at any point. Hospitalisation may be increasing, but we’re admitting people who wouldn’t have been admitted earlier in the pandemic and they’re in for much shorter periods. As I don’t feel I’m under any restrictions personally, I go where I want and eat and drink when and where I want, I don’t mind if the current level of restrictions drag on a bit. But equally I’m not sure the data supports that.

Personally I can handle things as they are, so I don’t mind about the extension. I think if we’re planning to go back a step at any point though they should really try to communicate it as early as possible. They must be able to model this stuff by now.

IF - The rate of decline in Death from Covid (all Covid deaths not just in Hospital in England) has almost flattened as the increase in total cases even with a reduced Age Fatality Rate flows through the system.

The optimist in me clings on to the size of universe of doubled dosed, the still quite startling regionality of the impact of Delta - Very North West and holding onto the current restrictions' for a wee while longer stymying the same growth rate elsewhere in the country and a 3 day glimmer that the national R rate has possibly had 3 days of no growth.

The pessimist in me is F***ing furious that the vaccination rate in England especially has fallen of a cliff with no good explanation at precisely the point where we know it is the route out but appear to be unable to step it up. The UK has the most urgent issue with the spread of Delta atm yet we have a lower 7 day vax rate behind Germany, France, Spain & Italy in "absolute" numbers, never mind relative numbers.

The size of the unvaccinated universe is still in the millions so there is plenty of fuel for Delta to burn through including over 2m over 50's who for no medical reason have chosen not to be vaccinated. Where is the national plan to speed up the 2nd dose for the 4m part vaccinated 50+ population most likely to be at terminal risk if infected?

The kids who are desperate to get the jab clearly cant be given the AZ due to concerns about rare clots so where are all the mRNA doses? That image of youngsters running for the jab at Twickenham will live with me for a long while, they crashed the booking system when the age was dropped to 25+. They want to do their part to save Grandma & the Fat Clowns logistics are letting them down.

This country was on track for June 21s to capture all the benefit - social & economic - ahead of the rest of Europe of the vaccine strategy and that has been thrown away due to yet again the Fat Clowns inability to make the right call on Red Zoning India.

Finally for all the prats reproducing photos of the G7 to make some sort of point - yes the staged photo is a bit performative, but what restrictions currently in place in England for a group of double jabbed PCR tested folk are they actually causing a problem with? Its precisely because in this country we've reached the point where up to 30 strangers can meet up outdoors and act normally they can do this. The fact the Fat Clown has probably extended the point where we could also do this indoors is the disgrace.

This is the United Kingdom made up of four nations, one of which has both English and Welsh as national languages. The Welsh word for mathematics is mathemateg.
I think you're on the wrong thread. Please see 'Just thought I'd leave this here and watch....' For totally unrelated discourse.

@Japsi why are you actually on this message board?

You've never posted about the Boro or even football as far as I can recall.

Correct. I have no interest in the Boro, but I didn't realise that was a pre-requisite? But it's good to see a microcosm of humanity played out behind a keyboard.

That's good to know.

I hope you get everything out of this board you're hoping for 👍

'By 21st June everyone over 50 will have received two doses' For me, only just. My second jab is tomorrow, booked over 6 weeks ago and I'm over 55!
