Snake oil salesman Cummings in the sh*t

What was all this about? Was it just Cummings wanted to get back to work and so would just leave his wife and son in Durham . . . but he then got ill so couldn't return? And then he called an ambulance for his son? Then a sick Cummings on his death bed went to pick wife and son from the hospital? Then they were all well and had day out, sorry tested his eyesight, and then sat by a river as one does when one isn't allowed to under lockdown rules? Then articles written that miss all of this out?
 
Who went to hospital with his son? Did he go with his wife or was it just his wife if he was too ill? Shouldn't his wife have been self isolating if showing symptoms (although I'm not clear if she was showing symptoms or just I'll with a random bug). Anyway at least a member of two of a family showing covid symptoms spent a night in a Durham hospital potentially spreading the virus to frontline NHS workers and others. Isn't this the whole point of lockdown i.e. not to spread the virus around the country?!? This should have been confined to their local hospital in North London.
 
Don't GlaxoSmithKline have a base at Barnard Castle? Haven't they just agreed to work alongside Sanofi in vaccine development? Is Cummings visit possibly related?

From what was said it sounded like his wife was with his son overnight (?), who then called Cummings for a lift as there were no taxis.

Yes, don't move to a second home or mobile home as you will increase the demand on public health services in that area. This was exactly what happened. Also, her symptoms were the reason that this all started but days later she's going to a hospital.

I can't believe anyone didn't question him on the major reason he should have stayed put in London. I thought the woman who mentioned people not having second homes staying put would follow up with this obvious question.

All of us who have taken the Stay Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives seriously have been shown to be the idiots we are. (I'd still have done it though as it was the right message that EVERYONE should have followed.)

He didn't stay at home or protect the NHS and who knows the consequences of this stupid decision.

This is being portrayed as being some left wing media attack on an 'enemy'. It isn't. He is the architect of the message that was for us all in it together. He broke ranks. This is worse than any Labour or Tory MP, Scottish chief scientist or SAGE scientist misdemeanor.

All he did today was offer up his own reasoning for breaking the rules. However, he did offer up further information about his son being admitted to hospital. Did this feature in any part of the breaking Mirror stories? I'm not sure it did but surely it's the biggest story here as to why he shouldn't have done what he did. Why aren't the journos making a bigger thing of this?

It wasn't and you're right, I can't believe it wasn't taken up by any journo. He must have introduced it as he'll know his car may have been clocked by CCTV or ANPR so better to get it out into the open.

The only thing I believe; he didn't return the week after as he would be stupid to deny something so easily disprovable.

Now I can answer this. Yes your lungs are buggered depending on severity. I currently struggle to hold my breather 25% of what I could previous. My lungs just want to push the air back out far quicker. They just don't feel right. At no point has it impacted my driving. I also had no issue with my vision.


Now he could almost get away with the Durham trip by pulling on heart strings. The trip to Barnard Castle is just nonsense and indefensible when using the Durham trip as a safeguarding reason then driving 50-60 mile round trip to Barny with his wife and kids whilst questioning his vision.

The other couple of points -

When did scientists determine young people were less likely to be effected (Im talking peer reviewed paper)? He said that was why he had his nephews at hand to take over if they couldn't look after their child when ill.

Also did you notice he answered questions between specific dates March to April? There were sightings on the 10th May and twitter searches prove people think they saw him, yet he specifically answered questions between that period and not around the 10th May.

Hope you get over this sooner rather than later. It really sounds a horrid disease.

I watched him on GMB this morning, if he did resign over Dominic Cummings then he's just stupid. Why throw away that career over a rat.
