Sky and BT sports

May get a chance to negotiate a lower sub when you resubscribe. I tend to watch football, cricket and WSB/BSB and cycling on Eurosport. Probably be able to cancel for 6 months with no loss.

Turned on talk sport in the car this evening they have absolutely fook all to talk about. How on earth are they going to fill the air time for months

Anyone got any news on refunds from Sky, Virgin or BT?

How can they charge you for something you are not getting - I don't order Sky/BT Sports to watch recordings.

If you went for a meal you wouldn't be charged for a steak if they didn't have any.

You don’t subscribe to a meal though do you - you can go as you please.
I wouldn’t hold your breath for a refund and would recommend the advice above. Cancel for the time being then rejoin on another deal

They haven’t gone off air and are still broadcasting so I don’t see the legal basis of a reduction, if the games were played behind closed doors and more were available to watch would you expect to pay extra ?

Not a chance you'll get money back from a sky sports or bt sports subscription

Funny - No you don’t subscribe to a meal but if they missed half of the meal off, you wouldn’t pay for it.

Also, would you subscribe to a premium channel to watch repeats? You would have to be daft to do that.

It doesn't work like that. You're paying for the channels and the infrastructure. You're not paying for a specific event. Sky are still broadcasting so you're still paying for it. It's just a fact. Stop trying to make a quick buck out of a global crisis

It is not about trying to make a quick buck out of a global crisis - I order Sky Sports & BT to watch live sport and at the moment, that is not happening. Sky have just announced they are putting their prices up and I cannot see them delaying this whilst this crisis ongoing.

Are they putting their sky sports prices up? Or for the whole package? If it’s for the sports then I agree the timing is tough. If it’s for the whole sky package then fair enough.

I was in the car earlier and there was a BT adver my on proclaiming if you sign up you will get access to champions league games and so on.
Really bad use of their advertising spend if you ask me - how can they Ben justify taking on new customers even if somebody was stupid enough to try and sign up.

Aswell as the formula one adverts on the radio. Thing doesn't start again until May.
