Should we be worried about Denmark?

I looked at the Danes goals against the Czechs and there is no way our defence would allow those to happen
Are people really serious? a one off football match, where most if not all the opposition play top flight football. I was there when we lost against Cardiff and just scrambled a draw against Chesterfield.

A couple of games ago, people were complaining after the Scotland performance. I certainly hope the players and management are expecting the hardest game so far.

Let’s not forget that we have played Denmark twice in the last 10 months in the Nations League thing.
We lost 1-0 at Wembley and drew 0-0 at their gaff.
It’s gonna be tough.

As fans we should worry…. It’s England!!!

They should beat them but when has that mattered in important games, it’s a total lottery…

come on England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🦁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🦁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🦁

In short: yes we should absolutely worry about Denmark. They are semi finalists and they have a squad motivation that no others have due to the unfortunate events of their first match.

But Denmark should be more worried about us. To me it seems we have a stronger team all round. Pretty much everywhere on the park and enough team to pull through. We should win but should doesn’t mean will.

I think Denmark are far better than we assume, they are a close knit squad greater than the sum of their parts, like England. I can see this going to extra time. I think our bench in the forward areas is better and might be the key.

1-1 after 90mins (you just know Braithwaite will score for the Danes) 2-1 after 120 mins.

Italy in the final ………. penalties win it for us …….. Fact 🔥

I think this is about right, I think it'll be very tight. I'd go 2-1 in normal time though.

I absolutely agree its going to be tough but its worth remembering when we lost at Wembley there were no fans there, we played most of the game with 10 men and they were a given a very dodgy penalty. Also and perhaps most importantly half the players who played in that game for England wont be playing on Wednesday.

Im worried yes. Have a feeling that fate will see kasper smeichel doingng the same as his dad and winning the euros. That means we lose in that scenario...hopefully not though!

They annihilated Wales. They are semi finalists on merit. The Eriksen thing is one of those weird happenings that maybe has galvanised the team and given them some kind of additional thing to play for, or new "belief" that they are destined to get to the final - it's hard to put into words.

I think it will be a very tough challenge.

I am keeping expectations in check, despite the last 2 games. Every time England have got the a semi before in my lifetime, the high hopes have been dashed.

The three strongest squads in terms of togetherness are us, Italy & Denmark. I think our depth of talent and balance in that squad will be to our advantage. We seem to be getting stronger as the tournament progresses (Kane, Maquire, Shaw...). I think we have every chance, if we don't get complacent, and I doubt South gate will allow that.

We've got a much better squad, and home advantage.
On paper we should be winning.

But there's just something about the Eriksen motivation that makes me nervous.

I'm not sure this squad "worries" about anyone.

That said, they will be the best side we've faced so far and I expect a close encounter, albeit one we will emerge from.

Still think we get beaten by Italy in the final though.

I think we can overhype that.

They haven't beaten anyone who I wouldn't expect them to beat. We thought they were better than the Russians, Welsh and Czechs before the tournament.

When they faced someone good, Belgium, it wasn't enough and they lost.

They are a top 10 European teams, in form and full of confidence. They will give England a good test.

However, England are in form and full of confidence too and, I think, are better.

By no means is it a certainty, but we are rightly favourites.

I think it's considerably harder than the Ukraine match. I would say every bit as hard as the Germany game (I would argue Denmark have shown more man for man).

So it's definitely 'tricky' and not helped by the media saying its a 'giver' as we have better players. Its never that simplistic. Let's have it right.... We should win as at home and we do have 'better' players. We've said that against Iceland.

I think we will beat them. I am going 1-0 but a very edgy affair. You can't factor in a stupid early sending off are woeful back pass etc that may f*ck everything up.

Remember Denmark beating the Dutch and Germans back to back in '92.
Remember Greece beating France, a good Czech team and hosts Portugal in 2004.

The Euro's has a habit of creating these amazing underdog stories.
