Shane Warne has passed away

Totally stunned...same age as me....the best spinner in my lifetime and seemed a great bloke too

Really shocked and saddened at hearing this. A brilliant bowler, very decent commentator and summariser will be sorely missed . RIP Shane
 
That news has shocked me. Just watching his documentary on Netflix this week! What a character and cricket legend lost.
 
Christ, that has stopped me in my tracks.

One of the best ever, watched the new documentary the other day. Seemed like a genuine, everyday bloke who just happened to rise to incredible levels in his sport of (second) choice - he always wanted to be an Aussie Rules player apparently.

RIP Warney.
 
Really shocked by this, very sad news. Great cricketer, but always comes across as a really great bloke too.

WTF. That is no age at all.

I know he loved beating the England teams, and he was part of some absolutely great Aussie teams that thrashed us lots of times, and he did not mind giving England some stick because of it. But at the end of the day he was so brilliant that he had earned the right to give England some verbal's.

Legend of Cricket, and I would say he was also a legend outside of the sport, as he was so good even people who did not follow the sport knew who he was. What a sad day.
 
Really shocked by this, he was such an engaging bloke to listen to and my favourite pundit after maybe Michael Holding, used to love it when they were on comms together.

I only watched his prime doc the other day.
