Sao Paulo F1 Grand Prix Weekend

EUR 50k. Well, that was all a bit silly and blown up over such a trivial matter.

OK - next please, the important one. Why are the stewards dragging their feet on DRS decision?

I don't think they're dragging their feet but they may have a very technical report to write explaining their decision.

Yeah good point.

I think any argument will be thrown out though. How can Max, with one hand, alter something designed to take many many tonnes of load at 200mph

I reckon it’ll be : Hamilton DQed from qualy so pushed to the back. But as you say that’ll mean a wing change so puts him in the pit lane.

Max will get a warning and possibly but unlikely a fine.

Almost called it. I think the fine was way too high but I can understand it given how high profile the incident was

What a schit way to end the title fight, talk about it an anti climax.

If i was Hamilton i wouldn’t even bother coming out to race - none of this is his fault, he gets in the car and steers the wheel so why punish him?

A financial penalty to Mercedes would have been more suitable - blame lies with the background team, mechanics/engineers etc.

Rules are rules I guess.

You're right though, this was shaping up to be a spectacular season. Now its fizzled out in the stewards room.

Sad way for this to end, makes the last 4 races pointless.

Said it time after time but fans don’t want races decided in stewards offices, does nothing but turn fans away from the sport

This guy gets it.

With regards to tomorrow's feature race, Mercedes would be best placed to change ALL the engine parts for new bits and start from the pit lane. They'll guarantee points anyways and gives them a massive chance for the final four races with what would essentially be a new car.

Might be wrong, but I don’t think you can change an engine in parc ferme unless you can prove it’s damaged

Starting from the back is totally understandable if the car DRS system was illegal. The driver lack of fault is irrlevant. His car may have been faster due to the technical infringement.

A fine for the team would not have addressed the issue at all.

They tried that with Bottas and he charged so hard in Monza the whole package fell apart straight away

He’s already changed the engine hasn’t he, time to change everything else given he has to finish 14th to get up to 19th anyway now either that or do a Schumacher and take the opposition out so they both start at the back lol

I think you can. Whinger spice was talking about giving Max a new engine a few races ago and he said it was all set up ready to put in at any time

Absolutely devastating for Mercedes and Hamilton. Reading the stewards report, the wing passed the test on the inside and through the middle but failed on the outside. Potentially an assembly probem or an issue with one of the components but I'm not sure how you can legislate for that.

One thing is for certain, and zorro can protest all he likes, but any potential gain from that transgression was not worth 4/10ths of a second back to Verstappen.

Excat time advantage is irrelvant. There is a potential for an advantage.
