Sander Berge

I’m surprised they’re even contemplating it to be honest unless the players pushing for a premier league move

Surprised no one took him in the summer. Too late now to affect their top 2 spot.
Well.. they’re averaging 2ppg which should see them on 91 points

Currently on 57 points..
if they slip to 1.5ppg = 84 points

We’re currently on 45 points and would need 43 points from the next 17 games to get anywhere near WWWWDWWWDWWWDWWWD sees 88 points.. one hell of a task to go unbeaten until the end of the season allowing for only four draws.

I think its pretty much out of the question that we could catch Sheff Utd, they're too far ahead and even allowing for some patchy form they've done enough to allow for that.

Berge being sold is an indication how pressing their financial situation is. They're obviously banking on promotion, literally and it always rankles with me when clubs do that and go on to achieve promotion.

Oliver Norwood out of contract in the summer.. along with Oliver McBurnie
quite a few out of contract in the summer.. could be the difference right at the end if we manage to power through with an unbelievable tally.

Seem to remember Reading doing it one season? finishing in the automatics after being not in the mix for a good portion of the season

Theres no reason they can't go on a horrific run and we can't hit the accelerator button. Especially if they lose berge. We beat them at Bramall Lane and panic could set in

Any team can have a terrible run so it's not likely that if we were to get into the automatics it would be because Sheff Utd imploded rather than because we went unbeaten.

Last season when we played Blackburn at Ewood in January they beat us to go into the automatics and were 10 points clear of us. They then went on a dreadful run and finished below us.

I don't think Sheff Utd will have that but it's far from impossible.

Totally agree. Berge is massive for them. Literally massive.
Watch them start to stutter and then belief will become frail and patchy form will follow.

Berge must be forcing this move because he is so instrumental to them along with ndiaye.
Berge is most important though because he is in centre midfield and nydiaye can only score goals with good service and a significant part of that good service comes from Berge.
Get that move sorted Mr Berge and its Game on (!)

No, of course its not impossible, but it highly unlikely.

They're one of the two outstanding teams this season (which Blackburn never were last season) and it would take an incredible implosion of form to drop enough points to allow us to catch them- we'd have to pick up 13 more points over 17 games, not sure what odds you'd get on that!

Can't stand sheff utd from the Warnock days to the wilder era onwards always been sides full of journeymen and full of shithousery and dirty play. Berge deserves to play with better teammates at a better club.
