I think if that is the calibre of players he's looking at bringing in, the chances of Archer and Ramsey cementing a place in the match day squad looks pretty slim to me.
But as you say, outgoing loans will probably happen into August, as the make up of their squad settles down.

Diallo is the perfect example (not that I am saying he is coming to us) but Ten Haag has already said he wants to take him on the pre-season tour to have a proper look. So effectively IF he was to become available you are looking towards the end of July at least.
I am hoping Ramsey will be released earlier by Villa (due to the competition in midfield at Villa), but Archer will be a long wait - especially due to his current involvement in the u21s.

every window for a long time has been slow. We'll be trying to get players in on deadline day as has become the norm simply because all clubs wait until the last minute to get the best deal possible. I think we've seen real improvement re recruitment over the time Kieran Scott has been involved so I'm not worried.
