for all the money we have saved so far on cutting the wage bill, does it come close to the average figure of £400K a week Gibson / Bulkhaul have backed the boro with?
I very much doubt it, there have been crazy amounts spent over the years trying to get back into the prem. Never mind the players Aitor signed once we made it, where it looked as though he was after a squad that would never cross the half way line.
Gestede is a classic example and I hope the club has finally decided on some sense, he cost us the best part of £12m over 3 1/2 years for minimal return. £66K a week he cost us, others probably similar numbers when you see they have left for nothing.
Fingers crossed some sense comes into the club / game at long last, bet Gibson would not let Bulkhaul run like that.
 
The problem is people just look at the wages but forget the transfer fees for players both bought and sold, we are probably still paying instalments for players we signed 3 years ago and are still owed money for players we sold the same year.

Firing the entire recruitment department and bringing in a director of football and new scouts would be better value than spunking endless money on dross.

This Morsy transfer has also taken so long to conclude — we probably need him in from the given what I saw of both McNair and Saville playing for N Ireland

Who knows what is fake these days? I very much doubt that Ainsley Harriet has dropped the pan and spoon to take up football transfer snooping. There might be an element of truth in it (regarding the transfer) we’re after a midfielder and we’ve spoken to Wigan..

Dom Shaw in the Gazette Q&A this afternoon said Morsy is someone we are interested in and the player wants to come

So what are we flippin waiting for??????
 
Get Morsy and the Barnsley lad and we are looking much stronger.
I'm pleased we aren't going for players in their 30's and looking for a last contract.
