Sam Morsy - Three Year Deal

Newy, more fairy stories! Take the Dutch keeper off he is going elsewhere
If I was making stuff up I’d probably be looking at Ligue 1 players.. #thenewyddionreport

GK Yannis Clementia - Free - OGC Nice
CD Loïc Mbe Soh - £155k - PSG
MF Théo Valls - Free - Nimes Olympique
ST Moussa Sylla - Free - Monaco
ST Yaya Sanogo - Free - Toulouse

I would have thought we can possibly stretch to £16.5k/week for a decent forward - based on £13k/week we offered Friend.

The quality of players we are being linked with is going up with the fees going down considerably.

Fee agreed for Morsy, 3 year deal with personal terms being ironed out. Zohore looks like a goer and it sounds like a deal with Sanogo is still on.

GK Jerone Zoet £900k
CD Nat Philips £400k
MF Sam Morsy £500k
ST Kenneth Zohore Loan
ST Yaya Sanogo Free

£7m sounds a bit steep before we get into the inflated wage demands that come with an early deal..

GK Dillon Philips £1m
CD Charlie Goode £1m
MF Joe Williams £1.25m
ST Lyndon Dykes £2m
ST Kieffer Moore £1.8m

Cool hand Neil Saying four maybe five players coming in..
Cool hand Neil:D

I'm guessing our 'number one target', the loan player whose club said they would only speak to us the back end of august, the deal that went from a loan deal to a £3.5m permanent transfer, I'm guessing that was Patrick Roberts.

Once upon a time we would have snapped up Roberts at 3.5mil (if it was him). I'd say that's decent value (although wages and injury prone last 18 months).

In a world where we paid 7mil for Flint or 7mil for Saville😂 (just realised I picked 2 pulis signings... Always thought Monk spunked the money).

The only people who'll pay that are Celtic unless he wants to sit on a PL bench.

Warnock paid £6m for Flint.

Yeah I assumed it was Roberts . If we have £3.5m in the pot at the end of the window that would be a snip but his wages might change that .
Loan to permanent subject to promotion might happen

I personally think it’s Murphy. Newcastle getting Fraser and Wilson so probably want a bit of money back on the money they are spending on Wilson’s fee. They may of originally wanted to loan him out but he is unlikely to ever make an impact at Newcastle really unless they go down so maybe they are trying to sell him first and if they have no luck with that then go back to loaning him Out at the end of the window

£6m is more likely to be the transfer deal. £4m transfer fee (at least £3m less than Pullis paid) with 3 years of wages at around £13k-£14k a week.

Basically throwing £3m out of the window.. quite literally!

FYI: Newyddion's Moneyball Spreadsheet identified Adam Webster as the go to guy. Signed for Bristol for £3.5m then was sold to Brighton a year later for £20m go figure.

Has Zohore gone quiet?

Looks that way, could be wrong but it looks like we are in for Sanogo and Woodrow as the 2 strikers. Zohore on a hefty wage apparently. He would of been my choice before Sanogo mind but I’m prepared to give Sanogo a chance. I don’t think he will be as bad as some think he will be. Think he is the type of player a ‘goal scorer’ enjoys playing with

very good

looks like we are probably not in for Morsy then, which would be a shame

he didnt play for wigan at the weekend amid speculation he was close to a move - hope Im wrong, he would be a brilliant signing

No mate the guy who posted the above information is someone different. Another guy said a midfielder has been at Rockliffe since Saturday and is close to signing. I presume this is Morsy. I really hope it is. He is my no 1 choice for the DM role and has been since I heard we were in for a DM. He’s class, midfield destroyer
