I don't mind Ronnie and think he is the best player to ever pick up a snooker cue but many fans have dislike for him and I feel this is due to his outspoken personality, both on and off the snooker table. Whilst some fans may appreciate his honesty, others can find it abrasive and/or controversial. Can't think why you'd loathe the guy. Them last 3 frames were an absolute pleasure to watch. Sporting greatness
I'd put Steve Davies in with Hendry but bellow Ronnie.Ronnie and Stephen Hendry in a different stratosphere to anybody else in my opinion.
Snooker will be a much poorer place when Ronnie hangs up his cue, box office and total legend.

With the media quotes if he is going out of his way to whinge then I think that is a bad thing, but if it is in the compulsory press conferences after a game and he gets asked leading questions that he answers without filtering his words then that is more understandable.I'm not a snooker fan, so I don't get the enjoyment of watching him play, but could it be because he's often complaining in the media?
He's just won the title after saying the other day that he can't be bothered with snooker.
I fully understand a big part of it is because he has mental health struggles, but negativity isn't endearing.
As a non-fan, the only time I really hear anything about him beyond seeing he's won a title, is when he's saying how he doesn't want to play snooker or that he's not getting a luxurious enough lifestyle compared to other sports stars.
Me too.Astonishing. I only watch snooker when he's playing, it's an emotional coaster ride just like watching Boro
