There doesn't seem to be any threads after O'Sullivan won his seventh World Championship last night.

Seven titles across three decades is very impressive. It's not hard to imagine O'Sullivan with more too if he hadn't struggled mentally on occasions too.

Is he the greatest in the so-called modern era? It's difficult to choose between him and Stephen Hendry for very different reasons.

Love Ronnie and he is without doubt my favourite Snooker player

I`m glad he`s enjoying his snooker again.

He`s been on it from day one of this years championship, hopefully stands alone on 8 after next year

For me he is the GOAT
 
He is definitely the best in the last 30 years and probably the best of all time IMHO.
I always loved the snooker in the 70s and 80s. Went off it for many years but have really enjoyed watching again this year.
 
Ronnie is easily the greatest player ever to play the game. Looks capable of adding another World Championship over the next couple of years too.
 
He won it so easily no one got near him really. Disappointing the final didn't live upto the billing as I thought trump was below par. Having said that, playing ronnie must be so difficult, its understandable for opponents not to perform.
 
I would say he's the best player there has ever been but it all depends on which Ronnie turns up. It is well recorded he's got his demons but when he wants to play, there is very little people can do to stop him.

Same here blf, these kids are more attacking than the old days and don't hang about.
Kyren Wilson is good to watch seems to go for anything, Ronnie is the master though 👍

nice to see he seems to have overcome his depression issues, and is now able to be a fully functioning, nicer person. incredible player.

Did you miss the clip of him pointing and gesturing and scowling at the referee the other day then ??? 😂

No idea what his problem was. I didn’t watch any of it so don’t feel I can comment further.
 
O'Sullivan is the best all around player ever without a doubt. The ease with which he switches from right handed to left handed gets no attention now because we are so used to it, but it's phenomenal.

There have been players arguably as naturally talented if not more so, for example Higgins and White.

There are players who have been as good at match play if not more so, for example Davis and Hendry.

But none that combine the two to the extent that he does. On his day he is completely unplayable.
