Riverside Seats

Yep, it was never a thing outside of a computer image
Would disagree.

Why were the images all in blue and not red if they were always to be red. Makes no sense to release digital images to the press and for use on TV etc. with blue seats if this was not being seriously considered by the club.

My vague recollections are that the initial response from fans was not good and the club had to reconsider and put they out a spurious comment about they were always going to be red to cover themselves from obvious fallout.

I voted Middlehaven...My old man and Grandad...plus uncle all voted Eriums..

Never spoken to anyone who voted Riverside.

I reckon there was some Russian interference like.

This is my recollection. Didn’t know anyone who voted Riverside but know many who voted Erimus.

Judging by comments on here most posters voted Erimus or knew people who did.

Do remember the name unveiling at Pearsey’s testimonial and there were lots of boos around me when the name was revealed.

Definitely something dodgy went on.

Still don't know anyone who voted, who ticked Riverside?

Pretty certain it was revealed at the Luton game.

What's more annoying about the Riverside is that the Durham cricket ground opened 3 months before and had the same name.

Yeah it was, remember it clearly from my chicken run seats.

I can remember the underwhelmed response and the light ripple of applause.

Too late for a recount or rerun?

There's absolutely no way we would ever have been having blue seats. That last paragraph is just total fabrication

Things weren't as savvy back in the mid 90's as they are with new stadiums now. Look at the Spurs new build...every last detail updated on...

The all blue thing was only every a concept image put out by the designers. Some might recall that while the Riverside was being built they opened a visitors centre next to the construction site (basically a portacabin) and that had pictures all round the walls...with red seats..

The blue seat thing was I think only ever 1 release to the media and was quickly put to bed.

Was only ever going going to be red seats.

Was there a Teesside Stadium option, I seemed to think I voted for that, but now happier with Riverside.

"The Endeavour of Our Dreams Stadium" is a bit of a mouthful but would have been different and reflected Cook's achievement

Just " Endeavour stadium " was doing the rounds at the time, but never made the ballot.
