Red faction today

The only bit I can ever remember is the ole ole ole, but nobody's singing it in the North stand so that's also all I can hear.
Thanks for sharing, aye despite not knowing the name of this song I remember them starting this going on my last visit. Got the hang of it after a couple of renditions easy enough and thought the wording was actually pretty decent with it's nod to former times too.

Tbf if instead of leaflets telling people to stay off their phones they knocked up a few song sheets (or even stuck them online and had a QR code leaflet to scan instead - which would take you to the sets of song lyrics) it would be more beneficial.

I’ve been told off for using my phone in curva sud in Milan and the yellow wall in Dortmund and even on a tram in koln.
When I say told off I mean a guy literally pushed my arm down.
Curva sud and yellow wall are arguably the 2 best singing sections in Europe.
RF are trying to create something similar
Those places have developed that culture over decades. Everyone in there understands the culture and the expected behaviour there. Red Faction had their block and everyone was happy with that except them. They chose to force people out of their seats and impose themselves on the people around them. They can’t go dictating who can and can’t check the scores. They will have to organically grow and fill the remaining seats as people around them drop out over the years. In the meantime it would help if they sang the easier and more familiar songs so people around them actually want to join in.

Can’t be doing with the waggy finger shyt.

Get on with supporting the team and creating displays.. not of this passive aggressive Karen nonsense.

Red Faction used to be properly cool.. not sure what’s going on these days.. but that needs knocking on the head ASAP
Few of the older, original lads don't partake any more. Went down the shitter since.

Great respect for what they do but need to realise majority in upper tier have been there years and not at the age to feel like joining in to songs dont know

The club agreed to the move, so what's your issue?

They are trying to encourage South Standers to focus on the atmosphere instead to make it a truly iconic place for noise and colour which ultimately would come if everyone sang instead of checking their accas, fantasy team, whats for tea etc.
It’s not North Korea mate. People pay their money to the club. If they want to come into the stadium and go on their phones for 2hrs that’s upto them. RF have had a mare here. It’s almost something I would expect from American fans.

What happened to the people who probably had season cards in those first few rows behind the goal? Were they given a free ticket to move elsewhere?

Agree with lots on this thread :
Fans moved to the south stand because of the atmosphere but no longer contribute (possibly because RF persist in singing their own songs. Some of which are bad. I can't get on board with a chant that says we were never any good !!).
RF moving to the lower tier hasn't worked out yet but maybe that's also because our football hasn't been exactly scintillating yet.
Without the RF the atmosphere in the ground would be loads worse but that doesn't give them the right to dictate to other supporters.
The lack of phone signal in the ground is ridiculous.

What difference does that make? Red Faction requested the move and are now unhappy with the people sitting around them. Until they started disrespecting those people my only concern was that the flag waving would block my view of the action but that hasn’t been an issue so far.
