Ravel Morrison has left the club

When we signed him complacency had crept in. Many thought we were safe and the season had become a dead rubber, so were happy for us to take a gamble on Morrison.

I remember I wasn't so confident at the time, and said we should have gone all out to sign Billy Sharp on loan but people were saying it would be pointless, as we needed to be playing players who would be here long-term, and plan for next season.
 
Although not a loan, I'm gonna chuck Viktor Fischer in here..... 5 million Euros for a Danish International ex-wonderkid from Ajax and I can't remember a single moment of his 13 games for us.

They were mostly sub appearances. Don't think he really got much of a chance and remember how terrible we were? I think there was a player in there with Fischer. He was unlucky with injuries at Ajax rather than a bad attitude like Morrison. Fischer is at Copenhagen now, won the league last year and is playing in the Europa League. Decent scoring record for them as well.

Probably not good enough for the PL and a bad time to be taking on a project but that was the sort of signing I was happy about. Relatively low risk with potential.
 
Alan Johnstone. To be fair he managed a goal or two but I'd completely forgotten he played for us. Just spotted him on a video the other day.

Tony Vidmar. One outstanding game (possibly v Southampton?), quite a few rubbish ones.

I was just about to post this. His 'corners' were horrific.............as was his passing, control, tackling, positional awareness, shooting............

Was that the guy who bizarrely made 1 appearance as a late substitute, got booked, and then disappeared again? I think Morrison is worse. Absolutely no impact whatsoever. Not even a card.

Yep! Went on to have a decent career afterwards though.
 
Nmecha.... He's a 'forward' (used loosely) who's scored 4 goals in nearly 60 appearances for 4 clubs.

Who in the recruitment staff thought he could be an answer to the issue of being the lowest scorers in the division😕?

We need to get the loans right next season. Especially as skint.
