Raheem Sterling

He is a very poor finisher, if he had more composure in front of goal then he would be the best player in the world. The chance just before our first he just smashed it as hard as he could, keeper knew nothing about it at all, it just hit him. Not sure why matterface was saying it was a superb save?

If Grealish had impacted the tournament to the same degree as Sterling has the whole country would have combusted. Before the tournament I wasnt sure about starting him in games purely based on his PL season.
But from the first game he's been outstanding. There's not another player at the tournament who has so consistently lit up games. He's an absolute delight to watch. I'd imagine fans from other nations (those we've knocked out and Italy aside) are thoroughly enjoying watching him

No backpedaling at all.
I still wouldn't choose Sterling, but it really doesn't matter as I have posted a few times now.
He has been selected and has scored crucial goals that have got England through when they have been struggling to create and score.
Southgate will be judged on results as all managers ultimately are. Nobody is hoping more than me that he is judged a success after winning this tournament.
And given Sterling will be selected every match, I hope he ends with the Golden Boot.
You sir, are an effing idiot!!

I think pep needs to take a lot of credit from his development he's taken essentially a wide player and turned him into a fantastic inside forward with goals. He reminds of Romario in terms of physical attributes small low centre of gravity pace and intelligent movement. He's must be one the hardest players to mark in the game you can't predict his play.

He did play very well last night. His energy and running was remarkable.
Kane is a fabulous footballer, I’d love him to win Golden Boot.

He has totally bossed this tournament and put all his doubters in their place .... including me :eek:
Had to laugh at a mate's FB comment and then looking back at his previous comment in the World Cup 2018.

Euro 2020(21):
"How things have changed. He's been player of the tournament so far. I'm not his biggest fan, but credit where credits due."

WC 2018:
"Rahim Sterling....he couldn't shoot his wife in a locked toilet!"
