PMQs

A bit patronising there buttercup. I've said it before but I will say it again, you don't bring people around to your way of thinking by calling them names and by the way I'm not making that point just about your post BoroFur. Tories out.

Wow that's some investigative work you've undertaken there BBG, well done fella 👏.
From the man who sat with my profile open on his computer till he caught me reading this thread (as if that was illegal) 🤣
and then posted a screenshot of your triumph to encourage a pile-on. But nobody responded did they? Bless.
You've conveniently overlooked your first contribution to this thread which amounted to an outrageous accusation that Starmer doesn't care about dead refugees
Anyone with primary school comprehension will see that I didn't make that accusation, I was merely suggesting that he's a poor politician who got his priorities wrong.
You've also made no mention of your toy throwing tantrum labelling anyone supportive of Starmer a 'fanboy'.
Not anyone, only those who are blind to his many faults. I even listed some of them but you failed to address that post in any meaningful way.
And besides, the thread is about PMQs and the respective performances of Johnson and Starmer however you and others seem hell-bent on turning it into a Starmer-bashing thread.
In a thread about the performances of Johnson and Starmer I can't criticise the latter... really?
I'll say it again. He's gone, get over it.
I never once mentioned him, but you it seems can't help yourself, even on this, a thread about Starmer and Johnson.

4/10 BoroFur must pay attention in class.

There seems to have been a tweet by Johnson brought up from just hours before the No. 10 party stating the people should minimise contact with others. The man is an outrageous stain on the decent folk of this country who have sacrificed all sorts to ensure the safety of everyone.

In these times we're meant to be more sensitive about the things we say I would tell you this now - I wouldn't p*ss on him if he was on fire. Horrible, corrupt fraud of a human being.

@BlindBoyGrunt and @BoroFur please can we stop this? We're all largely on the same side here and should be at the very least united in our disgust at this corrupt rabble of a Government. Yes there are differences of views in the Labour Party, we're a broad church and cover the far left to the centre ground so of course there is division. However, whether you're on the left, left-leaning or a centrist we need to stick together and stick it to the Government at every opportunity. They are the real enemy.

Can't argue with any of that and I could expand on it quite a bit if it weren't for Rob's swear filter. He's a nasty cold hearted human being.

I don't think anything I posit on a football message board will have any wider effect on the UKs political outlook tbh.
You honestly sound like you’re just throwing your toys out of the pram because your type of leader isn’t in your political party. Still they’ll be half to know you’ve abandoned them and you want the Tories in power

This thread is about Starmer. The first time Corbyn was mentioned was on page two where BoroMart introduces him in defence of my criticism of Starmer, followed by BoroFur who mentions him twice on page two.

On page three, BoroFur pops up again with "Corbyn isn't coming back, suck it up buttercup" in reply to me who hadn't mentioned Corbyn once in the whole thread (and still haven't if you discount this post).

Your first criticism of Corbyn is on page four, the day before SuperStu had even joined the conversation.

Of the 47 Corbyn mentions preceding this post the vast majority are from people defending Starmer.

Ok.

Point taken.

My involvement in the thread was a post of a video from Momentum attacking Johnson. I say it is good. I just lament that the Left seem to do more attacking ourselves and at the moment the far left attacking Starmer than they do this kind of thing. I want more of this. It's smart and it is effective. To defeat these people requires a concerted joint effort. Starmer has to appeal to the middle ground and win over floating voters from the Tories. He can't call people scum, he can't go all out class war. But the Left he has had to distance himself from to try to win over/back those disillusioned centrists can do that. They should do that. Someone has to take the gloves off.

After that I simply replied to Gregorgregorovich, agreeing with him that the bickering was on all sides, followed by responding to Stu telling me my post was 'Complete bollox as usual. And pretty outrageous given Starmers conduct.'

I think I was entitled to do that, wasn't I?

Okay. I disagree. IMO I'm under no obligation to fund/vote for the Labour party forever and ever irrespective of where their politics goes. Have to say I'm not particularly swayed by these repetitive "you're supporting the tories then!" posts from someone who literally voted for this tory government. 🤷‍♂️:ROFLMAO:

I used to be a Firefighter, if Johnson had been dragged out of any fire I went to even if he'd also been ***ed on, I'd have been sorely tempted to drag him back in. People keep saying he's a sociopath, I think he is a psychopath. No more lockdowns, let the bodies pile high in their thousands proves that. Tories out.

AM I wasnt trying to have a go at you earlier. Just couldn't help but notice your earlier post had 1 paragraph saying "I'm not blaming either side..." and then the second paragraph was more "the problem with the left is..."

Like I said. I just think the left within Labour gets quite a harsh hearing. Corbyn's leadership was by far the most accommodating of other internal factions of any Labour leader in my adult life time. Perhaps to a fault given what's been revealed since. 🤷‍♂️
The left is the term I’m using for the whole group from moderate centrist Fabian neo-Blairites to dyed in the wool communists and the descriptions of infighting within those groups, to reiterate there are factions on both ends of that spectrum who at times seem more focused on the ideological line of the party rather than the business of compromise to power.

The Labour Party and left as a whole needs to come up with a collective electoral strategy that is all encompassing, progressive and finds a way of garnering votes to try and undo the collective damage of austerity from Cameron to incompetence and croneyism of Johnson

Hope that clears it up and no offence was taken by me, and I apologise if you think I was playing the blame game, I repeat all factions share culpability.

Ooh where to start with this one 🤔
It's the most I've seen you engaged in a long time.

From the man who sat with my profile open on his computer till he caught me reading this thread (as if that was illegal) 🤣

You are able to categorically state that I sat with your profile open on my computer until I caught you reading this thread? Well I didn't but notwithstanding that I don't even think the board has that type of functionality. Nice effort though 👍

And as if I care about nobody responding to a post of mine. I don't post on this board to collect reactions. I post about things that concern me. Sometimes things I post resonate with others, sometimes they don't. But it seems to have put a smile on your face which is nice 🙂

Anyone with primary school comprehension will see that I didn't make that accusation, I was merely suggesting that he's a poor politician who got his priorities wrong.

And I responded that Starmer had made numerous references to the migrant issue in articles and interviews in recent weeks and months yet you, knowing that he has six questions per PMQs, want to castigate him for not asking an 'Abdul from Syria via Calais wants to know why you won't let him in' type question much favoured by his predecessor.

Not anyone, only those who are blind to his many faults. I even listed some of them but you failed to address that post in any meaningful way.

Well why didn't you take the time and effort to list the posters you do consider to be 'Starmer fanboys'? There was no meaningful way I could respond. He has faults the same as any human including you and I. You won't find a single Starmer supporter on here who denies that he has faults yet in a fit of pique you decide it's ok to confer an infantile label on every supporter of his.

In a thread about the performances of Johnson and Starmer I can't criticise the latter... really?

It's all about balance though isn't it? It seems you'd rather criticise the latter than the former. It's like the bitter Andy Murray phrase 'Anyone but England' whereas with you it seems to be 'Anyone but Starmer'. And I truly believe with you that it is ANYONE.

I never once mentioned him, but you it seems can't help yourself, even on this, a thread about Starmer and Johnson.

That's really funny, I'd love to know how many times you have mentioned 'him' in other threads. Would you care to guess?

4/10 BoroFur must pay attention in class.

Childish and patronising which is really easy sat behind a keyboard.

It seems you and I will never agree about the direction of the Labour Party which is ok and I wish you no ill.

I am with you on this one WeeGord, I stopped engaging in Starmer bashing threads some time ago.

I didn’t say you were supporting the Tories to be fair. I said by turning your back on labour you’re allowing the Tories back into power. Surely even you can see that arguing that labour should get fewer votes will lead to that
