Payero is back, back back!

By the sounds of it he didn't do enough at Boca to warrant them making the deal permanent - even if the rumours suggested they were going to buy him for a few million then immediately sell him to a European club for £10m+

Trust Carrick and the coaching staff with this one. Chuba-esque, clean slate, big cuddle and see what he can do with a proper footballing manager 👍

I really can't see why we'd invest so much in him if he didn't have the ability. I take his first season as a settling in one playing under Warnock and then getting injured before having a chance with Wilder. The summer he was dealing with Wilder and we all know he doesn't trust foreigners so it was never going to work. I'd have more confidence in him being part of a Carrick side than Warnock or Wilder team. It would be great if he could turn it around like Chuba did.

Hopefully he will get a squad number. Hes got undoubted talent would love him to turn it round. Must be a much nicer environment for him under carrick than wilder

Neither Warnock or Wilder are managers you'd say we're likely to be particularly adept at handling players from different cultures.

Apart from Carrick's natural man management ability, he's spent his career in dressing rooms packed full of different nationalities (including a few Argentinian lads of course). Can't see Carrick having any issues handling him off the pitch if he is back to stay.
