It really is. This post isn’t a knee jerk reaction to our shocking ability- or lack of- to get deals over the line. The one we’ve managed, was largely due to the player working with Warnock before- this holding him in high esteem.

And before the ultra loyalists get stuck into this- you know the usual suspects- no bet wetting here, so don’t fill your pampers- and secondly it is a concern that needing anywhere from 5 to 10 players to get in we’ve achieved 1.

You sell the club by showing the amenities, stating the ambition, how this will be achieved. How the area is attractive, quality of life. We seem clueless at doing this. Oh, Lemmy the season starts very soon not in 40 odd days time.We are seriously in need of bodies in
 
3 years of dreadful transfer windows, the recruitment team needs changing.

I'll retract this if we get positive developments in the next month and a half, but it's not looking promising.

None of that makes a difference.

Players go to the club who is offering the most money.

After that, if a tie break is needed, they go as close to London as possible.

Agent:
"Hi Joe, it's your agent. Bristol city are offering £14k a week and promising a play off push. 'Boro are firm on £9k per week and are rebuilding after a dreadful couple of seasons."

Joe:
"Cheers mate, gave me a couple of hours on Google reading their respective fans positivity levels and general amount of diatribes in anger on a couple of fan forums and I'll make a decision."

Agent:
"Good plan Joe, I look forward to hearing from you."

Maybe it's not our recruitment then after all, its just thick players.

It was a rare video with Gibson and he was honest in stating how we had to pay over the odds of other clubs as Boro are not , believe it or not on every players dream club to play for.
He said it was a real task not just to sell the club but to sell the idea of spending 3 years + on Teesside.

Its still true today. Even more so.

In the long term we will have to build a new team from youth. Its the only way we will get back to Prem.
I like being in the Championship. Every game is winnable unlike playing in the dirt of 17-20 in the prem
 
If they base a decision on message boards then yes. How does the Moore decision stack up if it just based on money? We offered more!
