Oh god, “STOP THE BOATS” is their slogan

It’s been on the cards but I’ve just seen the images of Sunak standing at his lectern, emblazoned with racist messaging. This appears to be Sunak and the Tories’ new slogan. It is so depressing it makes you sick. It is desperate. And people believe and support this sh*t. We are truly f*cked. Our politics and our news media are absolutely disgusting. It’s beyond words. It makes you feel profound sadness. The race to the

Can't you just wish to see the end of the people coming over in boats without being labelled racist ,right wing etc . If any law we bring in reduces the number of people taking the very dangerous route across the channel must be welcomed . Australia faced the same situation with Indonesians ,but the countries got together ,allowing Australia to tow the boats back and the migration stopped overnight (Allegedly).
Can't see why France won't agree to this ,unless they prefer the odd 200 million in their coffers .

Thats because you don't understand laws or choose not to.

If all these Men , Sorry People who are allegedly seeking refuge from their own country , have the money available to pay to go on a boat, why don't they pay for a safe mode of transport ,or build a life in the first safe country they arrive in?
Surely if they had time to get money before fleeing , they would have time to get their documents ?
This is a genuine question, lets see who can answer it without going down the Tory /Racist route .

Are you actually being serious now? Wow from the first four words of themis you immediately stereotype yourself and then at the end you ask not to be stereotyped.

OK i'll try and spell lut a simple fundamental: "you don't have to seek refuge in the first country you come to and you DO have the rights to ask for refuge in any country."
If, and I know it's an ask, you can grasp this fundamental concept you might be able to understand why you're asking the wrong questions.

Also, and this is something I'm not expecting you to grasp but here goes: asylum seekers are not one of the major problems facing this country. Not by a very very long shot.

Oh and we take in far fewer asylum seekers than a significant amount of European countries.

Because there is no way of applying until you get to the UK.

Is the price they pay the people trafficking people cheaper or more expensive than a flight? Are the trips arranged on French coastal towns or before the journey to France? One can only assume it's cheaper to pay the traffickers than the airlines.
It's never spoken about on the news.

The airlines won't take people who don't have the necessary documentation and get fined.

Most refugees won't be able to get visas at the first safe country, so maybe Turkey coming from the Middle East. That means they wouldn't get past check in.

If its in the EU airlines can get fined up to 500k Euros.

So when you talked about the performance related pay you said that from a position of not having a clue how they were doing?
I said it from the fact we seem to keep handing large figures of money over to the french yet the number of refugees keeps on rising - so I thought that we possibly weren’t getting value for money.

As I see we’ve just committed another five hundred million to them I would hope we dont hand it over unless we see a something for our money.
