Oh god, “STOP THE BOATS” is their slogan

Is this the guy who is always talking about deflection:

“Also, and this is something I'm not expecting you to grasp but here goes: asylum seekers are not one of the major problems facing this country. Not by a very very long shot”

Concentrate on the point being discussed will ya.

The airlines won't take people who don't have the necessary documentation and get fined.

Most refugees won't be able to get visas at the first safe country, so maybe Turkey coming from the Middle East. That means they wouldn't get past check in.

If its in the EU airlines can get fined up to 500k Euros.
Why can't they get visas? Surely that I'd one of the many root issues that can be fixed?

I said it from the fact we seem to keep handing large figures of money over to the french yet the number of refugees keeps on rising - so I thought that we possibly weren’t getting value for money.

As I see we’ve just committed another five hundred million to them I would hope we dont hand it over unless we see a something for our money.
They already stop half of the attempted crossings and have 3 times as many asylum applications each year.

Can't you just wish to see the end of the people coming over in boats without being labelled racist ,right wing etc . If any law we bring in reduces the number of people taking the very dangerous route across the channel must be welcomed . Australia faced the same situation with Indonesians ,but the countries got together ,allowing Australia to tow the boats back and the migration stopped overnight (Allegedly).
Can't see why France won't agree to this ,unless they prefer the odd 200 million in their coffers .
If all these Men , Sorry People who are allegedly seeking refuge from their own country , have the money available to pay to go on a boat, why don't they pay for a safe mode of transport ,or build a life in the first safe country they arrive in?
Surely if they had time to get money before fleeing , they would have time to get their documents ?
This is a genuine question, lets see who can answer it without going down the Tory /Racist route .

Spot the difference.

Usually due to rules like this...

What Are the Required Documents for a UK Visa?

You should submit the following documents to apply for a UK visa:

  • UK visa application form. According to the UK visa type you are applying for, you may have to complete the form online at the website of the Visa4UK website, or the manual application form.
  • Two photographs. These photos should be taken within the past six months and in color.
  • Your Valid Passport. It must be valid for three more months beyond the date you plan to leave the UK after your trip. It must also have at least one blank page for the visa.
  • Proof you have the financial means to cover the living costs while in the UK. This may be your bank statements for the last six months, or pay slips for the same period.
  • Proof of accommodation. You will need to present a document that shows where you will be accommodated while in the UK. Note that you do not have to fully pay a hotel/hostel in UK before getting the visa, just to get such a document.
  • Detailed travel itinerary. Submit a travel plan that gives all the information regarding how and what you are planning to do in the UK. Include the travel dates, places you will visit, meeting agenda, booked tour, festival agenda, etc. Click here to learn how to book dummy flight tickets for UK visa.

just face facts , the whole system is being abused, I dread to think what the actual percentage of genuine asylum seekers is , if anyone thinks otherwise your just deluded

You are asking all the wrong questions. If the government processed claims then the people abusing the sylum systems would be returned. So ask this question, why have claims being processed at an all time low? Ask why, just 5 years ago 10K asylum seekers were being returned every year, after processing. In the last 2 years that has dropped to 2 thousand per year. It's by design, don't be a fool.

See what I mean about crushing ALL opposition, alternative opinion, anything and everything even reasonably approaching compassion and decent? This is what’s happened with Lineker today. He must be pummelled into the ground. He must remain silent. Unless he says something supportive.

Without wishing to go over old ground, this is why the Leader of the Opposition’s words are absolutely vital at times like this. These things must be opposed in the strongest possible terms. You can’t just try to distance yourself from it.

What Lineker said is just so demonstrably true. If you have huge platform, you MUST speak up. There’s no alternative that makes you look good IMO.

We don't have an opposition, unless you're counting the SNP. At least they have the balls to try and oppose this government. Starmer never has.

Impartiality rules - part of his contract and it’s not like they are new rules. It doesn’t mean what he has said is right or wrong he just shouldn’t be speaking out under the terms of his contract - it’s that simple.

Why didn’t they censor him for tweeting his congratulations to Boris Johnson or for his ‘Bin Corbyn’ tweets? Why didn’t they discipline Alan Sugar for his racism, his anti-semitism, his posts against Mick Lynch? Why didn’t they discipline Emily Maitlis for tweeting about whether a coup could be arranged to remove Corbyn as Labour leader? How could Andrew Neil present two of the BBC’s flagship political programmes while being the editor of the right-wing Spectator?

We all know that if Lineker had expressed support for this policy then he’d be in the clear, none of this would be happening. How do we know this? Because the precedent has been set.

The Tories are bringing down the BBC from the inside. When people were busy lying and shouting and screaming about how terrible Miliband and Corbyn would be, all that did was ensure this pack of disgusting c*nts were eased into office. Right back to Cameron and Osbourne. People warned what the actual alternative was, where the real dangers were, but were laughed out of town.

Like I said, ALL opposition must be crushed into the ground. This has been building for years. It hasn’t just happened this week. This is over a decade of graft and grift, of misinformation and just outright the very worst people doing and saying the very worst things and getting away with it.

Except he's saying that isn't part of his contract in the same way that it doesn't apply to the likes of Lord Sugar.

The debate isn't on whether what he said is right, because obviously this bunch in charge are massive racist bellends, supported by far right nutters (hi); its whether he's allowed to discuss matters outside of his own work.

He clearly doesn't believe his contract has been broken and the BBC don't either or they'd have terminated it.
