I was one of em, still have my letter & since have it signed by a number of 86 players & BruceSee Chesterfield get a 10% transfer fee cut as his previous club. Rated in the £1m to £2m bracket. Feel a bit sorry for Wigan as there seems to be a line of their best players going out of the door. But not THAT sorry if we can get something out of it.
Looks like Wigan fan groups raised something like £650k towards their £750k target.
Good effort - reminds me of '86 when us fans quickly raised £200k or so.
I'll go with you Block,My no 1 choice for holding role all along. He would be a fantastic signing and give us some much needed bite and leadership. Get it done boro.
I'm with you there MichaelI can't ever remember seeing him play but if he's good enough for Warnock, then that's all good by me!
Even in the current financial climate any deal around the million pound mark would represent a massive bargain for us,a 7 out of 10 every week and born leader, its a massive yes from me
I wonder what his fee would be in today's moneyI think with our current predicament if we bought a player for up to £2m it'll be a bigger story than the signing of Alf Common in 1905
I would think he'll out of our reach, he would most likely sign for Bristol City mindI wonder what his fee would be in today's money
He went for £1,000:I would think he'll out of our reach, he would most likely sign for Bristol City mind
You might be right! He went for £1,000:
£1,000 in 1905 is worth £122,391.76 today
