Though Sky's official source seems a bit odd as he's outright said he's not sure what the offer is and he's just guessing that Wigan will reject it.
A few ITKs on OneBoro have indicated that it's further along than this.

I'd be buzzing if we signed him.

UPDATE: Bid has now been accepted.

See Chesterfield get a 10% transfer fee cut as his previous club. Rated in the £1m to £2m bracket. Feel a bit sorry for Wigan as there seems to be a line of their best players going out of the door. But not THAT sorry if we can get something out of it.

Looks like Wigan fan groups raised something like £650k towards their £750k target.
Good effort - reminds me of '86 when us fans quickly raised £200k or so.

I was one of em, still have my letter & since have it signed by a number of 86 players & Bruce 👍

If he did sign, it could potentially be his last major move, so I think he'd put in a real shift for us.

Captain of a team that finished 6 points above us (pre-deduction), scored 9 more goals and conceded 5 less.
The second half of their season was sheer adversity too.

Get it done, lads!

He'd be another really sensible signing. I like that we're going after players who have previously proven themselves at this level.

The previous strategy of signing young players from the lower leagues for cheap seemed the way forward at the time but it's risky business as we've found out. You'll unearth the odd gem but many aren't able to make the step up.

He’s got a bit of Besic about him, bit fiery, bit of bite, not afraid to do the dirty work but quick feet and always looking to drive forward when on the ball.

Reminds me when we signed saville, ok the fee was a shock but at the time we all thought goal scoring midfielder was just what we needed....let's see him in action first. Could be another sideways passing midfielder that we seem to scout with monotony
