After 2 better performances I feel he's had 2 not so good ones
I don't think he can complain about being replaced by Barlaser - who I felt was actually less bad than recent performances

Its bad when people are calling for Barlaser to come on. I would get rid of the pair of them. O'Brien reminds me of Willow Flood😱😭

I don't much like the look of either. I do wonder, particularly with barlaser whether we are using him effectively. He can have good games as well as the bad ones. Play him further forward maybe, he can pick a pass if given a little time.

When Hudderfield beat us 0-2 at the Riverside a couple of seasons ago he was the best player on the pitch and ran the show in midfield, showing pace, tenacity, high levels of skill and a fantastic engine. I wished we had someone like him at the time. Got an expensive well earned move to Notts Forest but only played 13 games for them . Something has seriously gone wrong and hes gone backwards at pace and is a shadow of the player he was. He's maybe had two decent games for us and all the others are 4 out of 10 performances. Unless something changes dramatically I can see him ending up like Deli Ali and fading into obscurity. I only see him as a Forest cast off now.

Always rated O'Brien gets around the pitch and covers lots of ground, was impressed when we signed him. However since he has been here he hasn't really pulled up any trees.

Midfield is looking at a serious overhaul in the summer. Howson is 36 or whatever he is ! O'Brien will go back to forest, Barlaser is not good enough, then we could potentially lose Hackney.

If you can't be best for Huddersfield you might as well give up. Jacob Butterfield was good for them but not us.

He's had couple of good games and has looked better playing alongside Howson, but I wouldn't be looking to sign him in the summer.

At a push I'd have him back on loan but only as a squad player, and when you take into account he's most likely on a high wage, I think we would be better off looking at other options.

Greenwood, O'Brien, Thomas, all poor/bad loan signings from the club. (Very poor recruitment)

O'Brien was good when he played for Huddersfield, but that was over 2yrs ago, he is nowhere near that standard now, he weakens the team when he plays.

At least we can send the loan players back to their clubs in the summer, however, to be honest, our team needs a massive rebuild in the summer, buying seven unknown players who are not Championship savvy hasn't worked, they could improve, but i wouldn't hold my breath.

Dieng.... good singing and he is the only shining light...

Engel....Yesterday summed him up, never a LB, very poor at passing the ball.
Bangura.... Hit and miss, the jury's out.... better than Engel. (Bola is better than both of them)
Azaz... (May need time to settle.. but he looks very slow)
Silvera... Never a Championship player.
Gilbert... Why did we sign him?
Lath..... Poor version of a Leroy Lita...

I disagree that the squad needs a massive rebuild. If you have a massive rebuild it most likely means you're going to have to take cheap punts on players from abroad. I'd prefer for us spend the majority of the budget on players who we feel are going to be good enough for our first-team next season.

I'd keep Engel, Bangura, Azaz and Lath as squad players at least, and sort out loan deals for Silvera and Gilbert.

I agree with most of that . In effect those mentioned are around 35% of the regular team players and 60% of the first team squad. How the hell we are even 10th beats me ?

isn't the entire point of us buying all these young options; that we give them time to develop so we can sell them in the future? not **** the bed first chance we get and do full rebuild

Probably because he was playing against us 🤣
