Not a single mask...

Obviously because right now I don't have to.

I can breathe in them, I just feel uncomfortably hot and unpleasant when I've got it on. I've no medical conditions.

So you are happy going out knowing you may be asymptomatic, and spreading it to others until its actually law that you cant? Just because it makes you a bit hot?

From personal experience I can say you get used to it. Not pleasant at all. However they are mandatory for adults here in Andalucía. Also for older children. Unless you have a very special reason not to.

Except when at home with family members; in the car with family members; in a bar/restaurant eating and drinking; taking part in sports.

I have to wear a mask to and from the golf course. However when I am playing I can take it off. Then rely on players social distancing. That happens quite well for me, touch wood.

Forgot to mention it is often well over 30 degrees and humid here at the moment.

What, before the scientific reports came out that they were effective? Before the WHO advise changed? That March?
Yes because I wore one that week before lockdown when everybody was panic buying. Well it was an old decorators mask. Seen a few that week actually come to think of it.

I disagree. I'm a big advocate for masks- I wear one when i'm going shopping. Not having a mask with me when i'm outdoors has stopped me from going into shops to grab things spontaneously. It has saved money, and stopped me buying snacks/ random bags of sweets/ additional items that I would normally.

Anyone in retail know whether masks will be provided at entrances for free/ have any plans to support people who have forgotten/ dont have a mask?

I’ve not heard anything - Co-op were talking of having them available for free but I think they’ve gone off the idea.
All that will happen is retailers giving free masks to all n sundry - expensive.
They will all have them on sale though.

And, it is absolutely clear it is not for store teams to ‘police’ this. The last thing those working in stores need is that kind of confrontation.
I suspect, though, customers will front up - watch out for videos galore.

Or, if it was that important it would have been legislated before?
The vast majority of people haven’t bothered wearing a mask and won’t until necessary.
What’s the point at having a go at each other?
Different views - that’s all

Thanks for the response. This was brought up in a meeting I was in recently following the decision anyone visiting a medical premises should have one on. The question was should you supply them or do you expect people to wear them. The general consensus was that it was best to supply them regardless as the theory is they protect those working in the practices, and those vulnerable entering the premises.

or you could just use your own common sense and wear one now? Very selfish attitude and it shows why we will be living with this for years to come.

Let’s just hope you don’t kill anyone before Friday I suppose.

Won't make a jot of difference whether I wear one or not.

I sterilise my hands frequently, I avoid standing close to anyone when shopping, I definitely don't cougth and sneeze in public and I don't have it.

I'm in a very low incidence area, and it's not the brief contact in supermarkets where this virus is spreading.
I'm more at risk at work than shopping, but I'll follow the law.

Exactly. Those claiming users on here will "kill people" because they haven't been wearing a mask is quite frankly disgusting behaviour.

Wonder if those same people would be saying the same even though they weren't wearing masks in January, February and March possibly infecting hundreds.

Its a nightmare by the way for shopkeepers - all the shoplifters will be back in because we won’t be able to recognise them and kids will be trying to buy booze.
We will be offering a free mask for the first 3 days if a customer hasn’t got one on but will not be challenging customers after that.

I don't think trying to guilt or browbeat people into wearing one will work, it'll only make people dig into their positions further.
I think having sensible discourse will be more productive in getting people to act responsibly.

If sensible discourse isn’t productive, is it ok to cling film their heads as a fall back? 😉

A funny story I heard about masks comes from a friend of mine.

Recently she took her dog out for a walk. When she was a couple of minutes from home she realised she had forgotten to put her mask on. She always carries dog crap collection bags with her when she walks the dog. She used one of these as a mask with the handles of the small plastic bag over her ears.

God knows how she was able to breathe with than on.

I have an Airsoft/paintball mask on order which should be arriving next week. Going to make the next few months or god forbid years a bit more fun. No shop is going to ask people to take off their face covering.
