Years ago in Norway when they showed an old Division 1 match every Saturday afternoon, the Norwegians used to have bong parties in their homes. The equivalent of our pools (Norsk Tipping) used to choose 12 matches and flash the score up on the telly during the match with an accompanying 'bong' sound, upon which everyone would have a drink of their favourite tipple. Some of these parties resulted in absolute carnage, I know because I attended one or two

We used to do that in my old local in the primitive days of dodgy 3 o’clock kick offs, every bong meant you down a shot. Happy days and thanks for reminding me
