Name someone you like with opposite views

I am centrist slightly left leaning. I have met Alan Johnson briefly, charming, engaging fella, we need more politicians like him.

As for opposing view who I would get on with, there are loads in reality as I enjoy talking politics. Rory Stewart I quite liked and he has had a fascinating life so far. I always quite liked Michael Heseltine, Portillo and Ken Clarke from the Thatcher and Major years.

As for people I have no time for, Corbyn, Abbott, Gove, Hancock, Raab, Rudd, oh, and another shout for that smellfungus Owen Jones. Tommy Robinson........ I’d better stop here, as this list would be massive otherwise

Most people I work with seem to believe Leeds are a great club with the best fans in the country.

Despite those pretty disgusting views I get on well with most of them.

As a traditional labour voter of a Blairite persuasion I always liked Ken Clarke and on the other side Tony Benn.

I reckon I could get on all right with Michael Portillo.

I have a friend who votes UKIP. We get on really well together, don't shy away from talking about politics and usually end up agreeing about most things. We both want the same thing, but differ on how to achieve it. It's qute weird. Maybe he's not a real "kipper" or else I'm not a real lefty, who knows?

I did a tv show with Portillo a few years ago, I was expecting him to be awful, but he was a really nice friendly guy.

Another right winger that I really like and get on well with is Giles Coren, that man has a very dark, twisted sense of humour.

I think the miners said the same ;)
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t agree with a single thing she did from shutting down rather than modernising our aging industrial base to selling off the council house stock.
We still haven’t recovered from Thatcher‘s little spell in power.
