For instance if you are left leaning someone from the right and vice versa

I’m left leaning. I don’t mind hearing what Tim montgomarie has to say

I can’t stand Owen Jones

I'm of the left. Despite his sometimes awful behaviour I retain a sneaking admiration for the Thatcherite Jeremy Clarkson. I'm not a petrol head and despise what the party he backs have done to my country, but he's a genuinely funny writer and seems to follow his own passions.

I know loads of nobheads from my own side and I'm sorry to say that some of the drivers of Momentum were prime among them.

Nigel Farage. Sorry but I like him. I reckon I could go for a few pints with him, ridicule his views (and him mine) and still have a bit of a laugh. Controversial I know, sue me.

Like who Harry?

Been watching this Alex Belfield recently. Just stumbled across him on youtube. Had never heard of him before.
But man he calls out those BBC luvvies and doesn't hesitate to name and shame.

Snowflakes beware - you are not going to like anything here:

I ’like’ the question but I don’t think I like anyone whose values are at odds with mine.
Respect or admiration are probably the words I would use.
Farage for instance - totally respect what he has achieved.

I’d like to go for a pint with him too
And would happily tip it right over his head.

I can see where you're coming from in a way with Farage. I get the impression that he doesn't believe what he says, he's just filling a nationalistic vacuum in order to line his pockets, now I don't know if that makes it better or worse?

On reflection, worse.

I'm centre left; for example I voted remain and read the guardian but would keep trident. I quite like listening to Clarkson and find myself agreeing with quite a bit.

My brother-in-law is a raging racist but I get on really well with him, took me years to warm to him. People are very rarely one dimensional. On Racheal Riley, what are her views? I haven't heard anything bad about her and I love her on 8 out of 10 cats does countrdown.

Yes, I think I'd struggle to be civil to Farage if I'm honest. The man proudly stood in front of nazi-derived propaganda to stoke up xenophobia. I can't admire that.

My rationale is that I know a number of middle aged blokes who have similar views and I actually get on fine with them, without really getting too into the detail of their political views. Should I apply a different rationale to Farage because he’s a politician? Maybe so.

I can get on with anyone really I don't take any notice of political leanings or anything like that, it's just as bad as religion in my book, id love to have a beer with Tony mowbray
