Moore on way to Cardiff for a medical

I'd sign Hugill permanently, myself.

2 years left on his contract but he's not going to get a look in at West Ham, and he can perform in the Championship.
I honestly think he'd do well under Warnock, just need the fans to start with an open mind.

2 year loan.

Totally agree mate
Scored less than Britt and Fletcher - in a team that scored more goals than Boro

Tend to agree, on closer inspection, he scored 10 goals with 5 assists and in 36 games got 1 booking. Only 1 booking, for a big lad, that makes me ask the question, is he really not physical enough too?

Fletcher in 46 games scored 13 with 7 assists slightly better stats on the face of it, in a worse performing team. I accept Moore might be better suited to how NW wants to play, but its no use having a big lad without the necessary pace and creativity the team needs to make the most of it. I think we should be solving the other positions before buying a big number 9, but maybe we can’t do that until we sell Britt or Fletch, so wanted a cheapish CF in first.

Building a team in a pandemic with clubs having little money or will to spend is going to be tough. I said before that most signings will be after the season has kicked off as players hold out for the best deals and clubs have a Mexican stand off on wages and fees.

I actually wouldn’t mind seeing Hugill back. On loan if possible. He can be a handful and I reckon he would jump at the chance to work with someone like Warnock, also, Warnock gets bodies around his striker and Hugill proved at QPR he is more than capable. Would be a better signing than Moore anyway.

Do you not remember how bad Hugill was. You cannot blame Pulis for some of his finishing. As much I would like to.

A year ago hughil was dog turd while Wing was the second coming of Christ. :D

Tis true this. Our fans change their mind more than they change their socks. It goes in cycles. Tav was garbage, now he's a 10 million pound player. Fry was the new Beckenbauer, not he's a pub player. Fletcher was the worst striker since Andy Crawford, now we simply must keep him.

Best thing is, I bet you have changed your mind on all them players more than once too. Form is a massive part of football. Form changes opinions. We aren’t the only set of fans who’s opinions will change from time to time. If we all had the same opinion and kept it the same at all times the game would be rather boring to speak about

I don't waver in weeks. I tend to form an opinion over a period of time not over a game or two.

Same with me. But it can change. The only person my opinion has changed with on your list is Tav, I wasn’t convinced about him previously but he looks to be coming into his own now and could be a big player next season. I have always rated Fletcher, but more recently rated him even more than previous.

Bit depressing that we cant even compete with Cardiff for some bang average plodder from Wigan.

4 years ago we signed Negrado.....

There was a couple of teams interested in Hall and he chose us without a fuss. You win some and you lose some

Although I know Warnock will probably be wanting a big man up front, I still think if Fletcher is given a full season playing as a no9 he could score close to 20 goals, or maybe even more, especially if he is played as part of a front two.

I'm still hopeful for Wing but I hope never to see Hugill in a Boro shirt other than when he's standing on the North Stand. It wasn't that he was badly used (he was) but when chances did come to him (and they did) he missed and missed embarrassingly badly.

No thankee from me.

The thing with your big strong back to goal centre forwards is if they aren't mobile and can also play facing goal ala, drogba, you really need to play them with a strike partner or at the very least have midfielders who stick close to them. Negredo and hughil both suffered from this. A hughil who is flicking the ball on would be a lot better than one trying to control the ball and wait a half hour for his team mates to amble forward.
I'm hoping he may go two up top and play 5 at the back with wingbacks and two up top, as I think this suits our current players far better.
