Top top footballer pal. Still unbelievable awareness and technique. If they’ve had man marked him they’ve got other players who’s have ran inside and hurt them that way. They were poor against us, but have some very good players. Plus the way he plays makes him difficult to mark. He’s literally all over the pitch and constantly drops deep for the ball.can't believe Scotland didn't man mark him the whole game, he was just allowed to run the show

Was totally predictable aswell. Laughable, reallyTo be honest I think the group games have just shown Scotland up really. Celebrating a 0-0 with England by sniffing them out then getting turned inside out by Czech Republic and Croatia.
I know they are a small nation but they're out now with 1 point. Last week's celebrations look pretty pathetic now.
Mr Sourness - Football may not be coming home with our team but your team are definitely going home.Hope sourness who described our performance against Croatia as 'average' will see how Gareth got it spot on tactically. As usual Scots got carried away thought they could take on the best by passion alone and lost...
Some real Scotland haters on this thread fellas.
In truth Scotland played as well last night as they did against England. Croatia were just better against Scotland than England were.
No real mystery there. Scotland were good against England because England were poor.
It will and you are right that the game against England meant a lot to the players, as it should. Hopefully as you say, the experience will improve their tournament play.I don’t mind Scotland always wanted them to get to the finals. My grandad is Scottish too. I just think they really went overboard with the draw against England as if that was the goal completed, forgetting they had a massive game against Croatia. Shame they couldn’t put up more of a fight but the experience will do them well the next time they are at a big tournament
I think you're ignoring the motivation factor. Scotland v England was their major (probably ONLY) target. The way they celebrated a 0-0 showed that. Like a non-League side against a PL side, it was their cup final. I don't think England were "poor" and IF Stones had scored that early chance it would have been a very different game. Scotland, as it proved, as toothless, they created some chances but couldn't convert.Scotland were good against England because England were poor.
