MISSION TO BURNLEY

Nufc is a pure pr exercise from the saudi establishment. Lets hope there are not fools coming on here and having sympathetic words for the club after watching it.

We could have endless episodes of Fisher and Ameobi in rehab😂.

Jokes aside we may actually find out what happened with Ameobi. He left the club and I've still not heard anything about him. No retirement or news of him looking for new club etc. It's like he no longer exists.
Alien abduction

The good doctor says everything about Burnley. So I have no interest in watching it. Not watched the Sunderland one either although told its good.

Just imagine how incompetent this club actually is behind the scenes. They won’t want that shown to the world

Yes and there’s a reason for that as it was made by fullwell 73 the clues in the name.
Netflix usually ruin anything sport related they have any involvement in, but I thought the Sunderland one was fantastic. Probably the closest to reality than any of the other sport documentaries

The Wrexham one was actually decent to be fair as it gave you a good insight into how the two owners were involved.

Absolutely zero interest in the Newcastle documentary, in fact just seeing Howe’s face on the amazon app is almost enough for me to cancel the whole thing.

I've watched a few of these and there are a few stand out moments. One that springs to mind is Jose talking to Del Ali in his office. A real insight into the inner dialogue and interaction between manager and player.
But for the most part I dont feel like they offer much unless you are a fan of that team.

Personally I would like more official media content from the club. BoroTV if you will but......good!

Inside matchday is good and always watch those but other than that I have to be placated with fan channels on youtube....people drinking Iron Brew in a vain attempt to garner sponsorship ( although I do actually like that channel!).

I dont need a 6 part Netflix series, just some quality content from the club.

Let's club together and buy Nobby a GoPro...
I'm sure 'We're Boro to we Die' created, scripted, filmed, edited by Nobby would go down in football documentary history.

If anyone watches the Burnley one, they are discussing new managers after Dyche was binned. They mention they have 3 managers in line, Kompany and they beep 2 others. You can literally lip read him saying Chris Wilder...

And yet there’s still some on here dispute it.

Gibbo sacked him that’s the key.

He was tapped up pure and simple and after this he didn’t give a toss about us

I liked Premier Passions in the 90s, the one where Reid was screaming at them in the dressing room etc.

Didn’t mind the Spurs one when Mourinho was there. Sunderland Til I Die felt heavily sanitised to me even if it was a decent watch.

Now there are hundreds of these things. They bore the pants off me as they are merely promotional videos for clubs I don’t support, and it’s pretty clear all the interesting stuff has been edited out.

I do understand what you’re saying about how it can be used to market the club but I find it all quite crass tbh. I’m sick of hearing about Wrexham and I have no plans to ever watch their series. Just my personal opinion, but I don’t think this stuff especially enhances the sport. Wrexham are simply being exploited, I’m sure their fans don’t mind if it brings about quick success though.
Premier Passions was brilliant. All episodes available on You Tube.
I'm sure there were a couple of Harry Enfield/Paul Whitehouse characters in there. And maybe Vic & Bob too.
Did you see the one-off sequel, Premier Pressures?

There was another series when Ron Atkinson was brought in to 'help' the Peterborough manager.
Then Barry Fry decided to pick the team himself, which led to the existing manager walking out just before kick off. Something to do with Boro legend Sean St Ledger I think.

Players fighting, manager offering fans out - now that was a "warts and all" documentary.

It might have just been called 'Ron the Manager'.

The last thing you want to hear on Netflix is some Gary from Park End giving his opinion on Carrick's attacking strategy.

Leave it to the Mackems and the Mags to provide the over the phone entertainment.

Big Ron Manager.
Narrated by Jeff Stelling giving it a Peter Kay mockumentary vibe.

Hoofing this thread because I've just watched it. I always enjoy shows like this.

Unfortunately I've just got to the part where they beat us at the Riverside in April to seal promotion, and there's footage of Ashley Barnes and Alan Pace smirking in the dressing room as they laugh about how far offside his goal was. I was enjoying the programme, but now I'm annoyed.

I’m against this for the Boro.

If we did one you can guarantee it would go viral around the world for being totally bizarre.

Some things are best left unseen.
