Millwall sack Gary Rowett.

Not sure what they expect tbh they are 15th in the Championship it's about their level, they don't get big crowds. Hull City are a bigger club. Who are they going to attract better than Rowett. They were punching above their weight last season if you ask me....

Hull City are a massively bigger club having three stints in the Premier League, an FA Cup final and qualification for Europe in recent years. Few clubs beyond Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal have been bigger than us over the past 15 years.

If this is Millwall getting rid of Rowett - I don't think they will get any better. To me they are lower half Championship Club who almost made the play offs last year. Their average attendance is about 14,000 and I don't get the impression they don't get massive subsidies from the owners. Where ever Rowett has gone he seems to get solid results. He not a barrel of laughs and a bit dour, but he's not paid to be an entertainer.

Who is the owner, as the last one died a few months ago ?

Must have been difficult for Rowett to recruit with the Chairman passing away before the season started. Is the former Luton manager still out of work?

Edit : Nathan Jones.

Just listened to Rowett on talk sport. Sounded like it was mutual and he felt it was right time to leave

Knowing Millwall, the fans will have been muttering louder and louder, so probably a smart time and way to go.

Warnock is starting a professional wrestling career so he’s probably ruled out of the Milwall job.
