Middlesbrough v Bournemouth Allowed 1000 fans

I don't think fans should be allowed in yet no matter how distanced, we are seeing a massive upsurge in COVID19 infection rates, have we forgotten the horrors of this disease and the risk we put our key workers in, it's just a game of football.
As long as it’s done properly I can’t see how a 1000 in that space should be an issue.

Is it more dangerous than going to work, the pub, the cinema, shopping ?

We can't go into lockdown forever, and therefore making things safer and socially distanced is the way to go.

With only a couple of days to go, I wouldn’t even go the social bubble route, just have 1000 single seats dotted about, names in a hat.

I have just received a call from the club.......imagine my excitement after hearing this news!

It turned out that they were just confirming that my daughter was also included in the the ballot as part of my bubble. They only called because there is no contact email address for her.

I’m sure Middlesbrough haven’t just found out through the news and have been working with EFL for weeks behind the scenes
They have been working behind the scenes but this one has likely been on, off, on, off... subject to EFL, government, council, safety group.. all sorts of red lights, green lights, amber lights.

Be interesting how MFC select the 1,000 fans.

Has to be random surely (based on bubbles)?

Then if the next home game is still restricted to 1,000....a random ballot again (without the first 1,000 that were picked)...and so on.
