If you choose to put yourself forward for a public-facing role you know that people are going to disagree with you.
The sad truth is a lot of the reason people are arguing is because the club cannot get its act together.

I don't know, I'm not him - however I think he had mentioned people being critical which goes with the role, if you put yourself forward for something like this.

Unfortunately it's a sad fact of life that on social media people will abuse you - this can happen no matter who you are.

That doesn't mean it's right or that people shouldn't be called out on it.
I've found that a good ethos to live by is 'don't be a d*ck' I've not always managed it myself but i try.

Primus84 - the last chair was abused on social media and then to his face. It was nasty stuff. He immediately chose to step away; quite rightly he wasn't prepared to be on the receiving end of threatening behaviour.

As I said before - the reason people seem to be fighting among themselves is documented well in this thread - progress has been slim to none on key issues, the club uses MSF to suit its own ends and will drop MSF in it when it suits them - eg. by lying about consultations.
No one is suggesting your heart is in the wrong place Rob, just that the club are letting us all down and just parroting the club lines back to people is only going to make people more annoyed when it's very obviously not true - see the line you were given about the cards for disabled supporter assistance - you came back to tell us they weren't black and white only to have to back down when an image was posted which embarassingly showed them as black and white. The club let us all down then and the only criticism I would make of you over that is you're still too trusting of the club given all the times they've shown their true colours.

So it depends on who’s doing the minutes… if it’s someone from the club, then there’s no excuse that they can’t put time aside to do the notes (I’m sure a multimillion pound organisation employees someone that’s capable of this… we don’t I know that you know that but we can dream) and get them approved from everyone that attended… can only assume it’s someone that has a proper job outside the club that does the minutes (which can be excused) cos otherwise they’re taking the ****… or maybe they’re waiting for Kieth lambs mega spectacular excuse fax machine to cough up the minutes

And a fallacy that minutes of meetings HAVE to be approved before circulation.
In every (and I mean every) business, organisation, group or whatever I've been involved with, meeting minutes are circulated and approval or amendments recorded at the next meeting - the minute taker might quickly run them past the chair but absolutely no need for every man and his dog to approve them before they go out
The forum might decide that's how they want to do it, but certainly not necessary

What was the issue in terms of Errea letting the club down? I did ask ages ago in the thread but there’s no reply I don’t think. Unless I’ve missed it. Or maybe the forum can ask the club at the December meeting and then the answer can be in the minutes?
And, I don’t mean to be negative or anything, but when will the minutes from Monday’s meeting be published? I appreciate the forum is voluntary and people have jobs and commitments, but the minutes are a very important part of the forum and its role in the link between club and supporters.
Maybe the forum could look at appointing someone who has the time available to have the minutes 24-48hrs after a meeting has finished? Could that be put forward at the next meeting? I don’t think it should take this long for minutes to be published tbh.

Yeah man, I would 100% not expect work to have a merry go around with minutes, but this isn’t the real world this is a Phoenix nights style committee meeting….
