Link to the Derby forum, I haven’t clicked on the Suns link. Someone pastes the article in that thread.

We could probably recoup what we would've gained had we got into the play offs. No more. Very difficult to prove loss of opportunity on a subjective basis.

Yeah, I can't see us getting close to £45m.

We lost out on the chance of the play-offs, there's absolutely no guarantee that we'd have won them.

Still a wronged party though.

I don't think there is a chance of getting anything and would rather Gibson concentrated on what happens at our club.
The things Derby have done have directly effected our club and he is looking after our interests for the future. I think its great that he is trying to hold people accountable when the rule makers seemingly dont want to.

Its not like he's the manager or in charge of transfer deals.

I think that is posturing,. We could certainly win the play off income of about 2mill, 4mill if we claim we would have made the final would be less provable.

I suspect that we're confident in about 1.5-2mill for lost play off semi income. But hoping to force them to pay more than that. Derby need to move on, and can't get caught in any long expensive legal cases. They're already in a bad position for legal action as they have admitted cheating. There is clear financial loss, it's just difficult to identify how much.

There'll be an out of court settlement, of about 2.5-4 mill, under an NDA which will close the matter it'll hurt Derbys ability to meet FFP again and increase our budget for new signings.

I suspect they're gonna have a fire sale of their valuable players this January to get on an even keel for next season, this will just hasten that. Buchanan, Lawrence, Bird, Shinnie, Joziak and Knight probably all available. I don't see them bothering with trying to win games, they'll be trying to save money and get experience for remaining kids. They need a better points return that West Brom to stay up, so they're pretty much gone already
