Middlesbrough Lockdown Confirmed

No you are not, you just need to follow the guidance and do what you are allowed to do, which if that is forming a bubble with your children's grandparents for the sake of childcare, then you do that. What you shouldn't do, as it makes you look like a selfish I'm alright Jack, is come on a football message board and tell everyone how you are going to ingore the new restrctions, do what suits you and sod everyone else.

And this is what this Pandemic has created in their 1000's - Sanctimonious tossers.
I'm one of the most unselfish people you will ever meet but like RandySavage I'm also evaluating the mental health of both the kids and their grandparents.

BBC News.....

‘It will now be illegal to mix indoors anywhere but there is also a recommendation not to mix outside, in beer gardens or parks.’

Recommendation only.....
The word illegal is a good one.
As the CPS haven't followed through with a single police charge against an individual yet.

Can someone confirm if I can drive from Redcar to Middlesbrough tomorrow morning for an appointment?

It's not technically mixing households as it's not someones house. So this should be fine, shouldn't it?

If wearing a mask doesn’t help (and many scientists believe that) are you ok with tpeople who believe them, not wearing one?

You're talking about the occasional odd ball on social media.

The medical staff I've been in contact with in the last few months, and there are lots of them, wear masks and expect me to wear one. They're the real scientists we should be taking notice of, not some oddball social media user.

"many scientists believe that" [Who? Where?]
"loads of stuff" [What "stuff"?]
"bottom line" [Which is?]
"experts say" [Who? Where?]
"evidence" [Which? Where?]

You have to do better than that to make a serious point finny.

Roofie
From day 1 I’ve been a lockdown and mask fanatic
I’ve since done loads of reading and research and at best I’m now confused.
You are not confused - good for you.

If you want to get confused you can do your own research - try the internet as a start. Those who like certainty generally can’t be asred though.
Enjoy your weekend fella

Get your facts straight and dont assume where the figures are from.(y)

I did get my facts straight, they were from a source which you have quoted from subsequently (the Nottingham Post). I also stated that you may have more up to date info (more on that in a minute).

https://www.nottinghampost.com/news...ingham-nottinghamshire-record-220-new-4567528

220 new cases across a city and wider area of ~300,000. How many symptomatic? How many requiring hospital treatment? If there are pressures on hospitals and trends suggest there will be pressures then yes, further actions required. Currently this is not the case. Triage data, symptom app data, REACT study data all aligning and showing no rapid increase. I see the press have already started saying that recently introduced measures are having an effect when it is far too early for them to be having an effect and in reality there are different restrictions all over the country anyway.

Lets look at the Nottingham post today .......

https://www.nottinghampost.com/news/nottingham-news/174-coronavirus-cases-recorded-across-4571328

Should we be shouting about a massive decrease in cases across Nottingham? Of course not, it is a couple of data points but the general trends do suggest a plateau at the moment.

I will note that we won't be seeing headlines outlining any decrease in positive tests but we will certainly will when they rise.

This lockdown is playing havoc with the lone drinkers, the guys who just pop out for a few on an afternoon, having an amble about, to see who is out and about.

No "shouting" here.

Coronavirus rates in Nottingham have risen sharply according to new Public Health England data.
The city now has more than 100 cases per 100,000 people, up from 42.7 cases the previous week.
Nottingham is one of three key areas which has recorded a sharp increase in the seven-day rate, alongside St Helens and Darlington.

I never said you were shouting, but many are, including the much of the media. We will see more tomorrow and Monday with the latest delayed figures.

Cheers chap.
Anti-lockdown persons were "shouting" in the Market Square today: Piers Corbyn and the "Freedom Fighters" (!).
They received short shrift from passers by, especially a group of Nurses heading for QMC.

No "social - distancing".
Frankly, Im appalled.

Now I will agree with you on this.

Much of the hysteria plays into their hands though. Ridiculous talk of testing everyone in the country and vaccinating everyone in the country (again, from the media mostly but also prominent political figures) does not help.

The sign regarding hydroxychloroquine is an interesting one. Many of the studies on the use of hydroxychloroquine have been so flawed one can reasonably ask if they were set up to fail.

Worth watching this video from John Campbell..... You can check out the first few minutes for 'the bottom line' or watch the whole thing for detail.

Hydroxychloroquine has been a very safe drug used in millions and millions of doses across the world yet suddenly the FDA began pushing out warnings on cardiac issues and QT elongation (and yes, I do know a little bit about these in my line of work).

As he says............. "What is going on here?"

It is very difficult to convince people who think it is all somehow a fake, not real, and/or caused by 5g. And they quite happily lap up the nonsense that the likes of Piers Corbyn and David Icke spout.
