I don't think the official rules are published yet, but Beeb says no non-essential travel except work, school or to a covid-secure place (whatever that means).

No you are not, you just need to follow the guidance and do what you are allowed to do, which if that is forming a bubble with your children's grandparents for the sake of childcare, then you do that. Thousands of people who have observed the guidelines to the letter are now being denied the opportunity to visit friends and loved ones, meet their mates for a pint etc whilst those who have flaunted the rules will continue to do so and infections will continue to spread.

The rise in Covid in localised areas can only be down to a lack of observance as if the guidelines were flawed it would show a consistent pattern nationwide, surely enforcing penalties on those guilty of breaches would be the logical step before punishing those that have adhered to the advice, hollow threats and no action are not going to deter those that have ignored previous guidance.

No you’re wrong here AM, the prevelance of this virus comes down to when people get some kind of symptoms they can’t get a test and then do the right thing
In the absence they continue to go about their lives and these scientists don’t know enough about asymptotic folks and how much they are spreading this virus therefore lockdowns are a get out of jail free card for a government who are badly failing the people on testing and a scientific community struggling with how to understand this virus
Whilst all this unfolds the government pour restrictions on people in the absence on any real knowledge
