Meanwhile, in Sweden...

Back to Sweden, I'm not asking to be proven right or wrong. My opinion is that Sweden will come out of this in a better position socially and economically than a lot of other countries because of their actions.
You seem to be revelling in being contrary. Being contrary isn't the same as being smart, it's being contrary that's all.

Compare Sweden to every country in the world of similar wealth and population then, it's pretty much in the top 5% of the worst.
It has the 5th highest death per capita, in spite of having the advantage of a very small population density, for lower than the 4 above it. In fact they are a factor of 8-15 higher than sweden.

If you follow decent scientists and statisticians rather than the media, you'll find that lockdown has shown immediate initial effect. However, long term, Swedens approach isn't actually any more or less damaging than if they locked down at the beginning.
It's a bold claim, so how can you validate that long term Swedens approach isn't any more or less damaging than an early lockdown?

Oh come on Randy, you were given the reasons why WLM was racist on multiple occasions and tried to distract and avoid before disappearing off the thread. Repeating the facts is not 'bullying'
By disappearing you mean doing other things.

nope, you avoided the question and continued the discussion, then when asked again, you disappeared.
Which question? I engaged in sensible debate on that thread as I posted earlier in the same thread.

Contrary? If that's how you see it that's fine. I'm not personally going to go along with something though if I disagree with it or have a different viewpoint.

Of course if you'd like to live in a world where there is only the one narrative then that's your prerogative.

😊 Hope your evening is as pleasant as mine will be.

An interesting article about a spike in the UK compared to other countries.

Sad, There are so many weird anomalies with this virus. But there is one thing that is obvious, there are vulnerable groups for whom this is very serious, and for the rest of us it's a bug, like many others we deal with. I'm bored with some of the posturing on here, people almost gleeful about deaths in country A versus country B. Just make sure that you and ur loved ones have a healthy immune system and you are most likely to survive this thing.

I simply stated some facts around the WLM banner and what makes it racist and asked where I was wrong. You didn't answer. You did see my post both times, we have an "alert" on here that tells you

Ah so because I didn't respond to you and you've out some sort of stalker alert on me (which is weird) it means I've ignored it. Go and quote me in that thread and I'll have another look. 😊

Those cared for in ICUs has halved in just over a fortnight and the reporting of deaths continues with an encouraging trajectory. It's 11 days since over 20 were confirmed. This may seem puzzling in the face of a rise in the number of confirmed positive tests, but that is because testing has been massively increased, with free tests available to anyone in Stockholm now (AFAIK). Also, many health workers are being tested every few days, so some positive tests are duplicate ... they have to test negative before returning to work, obviously.
