Martin Braithwaite on his Boro departure

Nothing wrong with his attitude and his actions, he wouldnt have got a move to Barcelona if that was an issue. Cant blame that sort of player for not wanting to play under Pulis though, if used correctly he would have been the best player in this league. Pleased for him that he has got the biggest move any footballer could ever get.

Everything wrong with his attitude and actions, and you can blame him.

Total horse**** to say he could have been the best player in the Championship, he wasn't even the best player at Middlesbrough.

What did he actually do wrong? He tried to force a move when it became clear Pulis didnt want him and he would never fit into that system.

Considering he is now playing for Barcelona its not unreasonable to think he would have been the best player in this league

I honestly believe that after monk if he had brought in say someone like jokanovic or somebody who likes good attacking football vraithwaite would have been a success at Boro he would of enjoyed his football

I would say Adama is better

Also I would probably compare him signing for Barcelona is like man United signing Lee grant

He tried to force a move 4 times, one of them when he was a key part of the side, days before the transfer window was about to shut, and when we were about to play Leeds in a top 2 clash.
He then phoned it in until he could force a move again in January.

He's playing for Barcelona because they were absolutely desperate for a striker, and because he was the cheapest option available.
They signed him using a dodgy and exploitative rule, via a release clause.
They didn't have many choices, and he wouldn't have been anywhere near them if it was a normal transfer.

Not really, they brought him in when Suarez and Dembele were injured so would have likely played a fair few games.

He played well at Leganes so they didnt just bring him in to make up the numbers

Man city signing Scott Carson?

People need to get this idea out of their head that him signing for Barca was some kind of long time plan, it wasn’t . They will sell him as soon as they get chance.
That's what I said, they slapped a massive release fee incase he turned into a world beater but he will leave probably this summer

They signed him as back up to Messi, Griezmann and Fati whilst Dembele and Suarez were inured as they had no one else and the stupid rule over there allowed them to do so , now everyone is back doubt he will get much of a look In apart from last 10 mins of games they have already won.

I thought Braithwaite was terrible for us but let’s be honest he isn’t the first highly rated foreign player to flop in England. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, it’s best for all parties to move on quickly if it hasn’t worked out, it does not mean he is a bad player or that we are a bad club.

Yes lets be honest they didnt make him their number one target to replace Messi. But he has still got the move from what he has done with Leganes and his next move will still be a top European league.

Dont know why people take it so personally with Braithwaite, plenty of players in that squad now that have shown no desire to be here who dont get the same treatment. Foreign player who didnt adapt to the league under a manager who didnt want him. Not the first and wont be the last time that happens.

Rather than taking a paragraph from the Gazette copy, at least take the opportunity to read the whole article.
No matter what people think of his time at Boro, his record throughout his career speaks for itself.
It was obvious when Pulis came that he had no future here, so what else was he supposed to do? Sit on the bench for two years.

He would have had a future here if he had done as other players have done, knuckled down, applied himself and not demanded a move.
