Mark Page verdicts being delivered now

People forget we had a very good/popular stadium announcer when Page first left the job but was soon dropped when Page came back to do the job.

Not got an issue with the current stadium announcer he was one of TFMs better breakfast show presenters too over the years
 
I read Page is 60 odd years old. He must have been at it for years, getting away with all sorts of terrible crimes, especially with his work on the forces overseas radio. I'm sure the crimes he's being convicted of barely only scratch the surface. Hopefully he'll get a sentence towards the top of the tariff.

Honestly, what is wrong with people sometimes, I agree, I wish people would just get some perspective and try to just laugh for once in a while, the term dog dirt being disgusting, people really need to toughen up, it makes a mockery of genuinely hurtful language as whats the difference when people have a hissy fit over the word dog dirt. Should he have said " oh I do so dissiprove of his song selection, but he's trying" eye roll emoji!

I've refrained from commenting on the thread until the verdict, you just never know (although I've never had personal dealings with him).

I realise that we have heard about him, Saville, Hall, Harris, Jonathon King etc because they are famous, and that it is no doubt going on in plain site all around us, but it does seem to have been a fair few of the 70s & 80s radio dj's at Radio 1 that have been under suspicion (DLT etc).

Was there some sort of celebrity cult/club/gang thing going on that just seemed to be taken as par for the course at the time?

His last conviction was for an offence in 2019 so long after Saville. A sex tourist, planned and predetermined, some of the most vulnerable children in the world. How can he live with himself?

Yes I know, but that is conviction. There is nothing to say that he wasn't partaking in this sordid perverted disgusting behaviour before hand, or even that he was introduced to it years ago.

You may well be correct, point I was try to make was that even after Saville was exposed and more light had been placed on predators like him, he went on to keep offending.

It is shocking, hopefully he will be residing in Holme House for a good few years and then he never sets a foot back in the area again.
 
To be fair he needed locking up when he announced Rhodes as "Jason Rhodes" when he came on as a sub on his debut at the riverside.
