Marcus Rashford

This is one of those things where there should be no discussion. Problem is it has become political.
Johnson had an open goal and could have supported it.
Now has to ‘U Turn’ - and we all know how good he is at that

Kids on free school meals need feeding - now more than ever

It never needed to be political, its something to stop kids from starving at the end of the day, politics shouldnt have ever come into it. Sums up this government pretty well tbh

Yep, the talk of this being a "political" issue is quite frankly shocking. Which political persuasion or party routinely advocates children going hungry? An accountable government would at least be required to set out their rationale for any decision on the subject.

It's exactly the same argument I had with someone online last week who disagreed with BLM protests in the Premier League as (his words): "politics has no place in football".

Government have now rejected his calls for free school meals to continue over the summer. The lack of compassion of this government is truly shocking.

Isn't shocking to me. But what do I know. I mean they have previous for punishing the disabled, punishing those out of work, punishing the elderly, punishing people IN work. Why would people think they would be any different when it came to kids?

"Ah but I voted for them because they will stop the foreigners coming in here and taking the jobs I have no intention of taking myself"

That's basically the excuse given by those who voted them in.

Much respect to Marcus Rashford, I'd hope the premier league and the other clubs will join his crusade.
