Marcus Rashford

So let's get this straight.

Your 1st contribution to this thread was a negative one about free school meals yet you ended your last post by calling me Mr Negative? - er ok

You claim that a negative Daily Mirror story about free school meals from 5 weeks ago turned up on your Facebook feed today but when you tried to find it on the internet it wasn't there anymore. However there was one from The Daily Express so you thought sod it, my 1st contribution to this thread won't be a positive one about Marcus Rashford it'll be a negative one?

You mention my age which I'm not sure has anything to do with the subject matter but how do you know how old I am, have you been stalking me?

Still using the word 'cream' would suggest that you are not grown up in the slightest.

I can only think that you must be bored. Presumably your works computer hasn't turned up yet and you're just laying around in your joggies on full pay

Yep that’s correct. Never said the Daily Mirror story was 5 weeks old though. You seen I said I support free school during the holidays but as you couldn’t twist that you wanted something to moan about so then cry about my link which was just about some parents trying to advantage of the scheme. Not exactly overly negative or do you pretend this doesn’t happen for your perfect utopia

I noticed your age as due to your obsession you still had to mention me on your post when you said it.

I don’t wear joggers by the way 😆😆.... oh my computer came but Tech haven’t rang to set it up and now I’m on leave for another 2 weeks. 🥳🥳🥳

😞Once again Coops you have managed to turn a nice thread recognising something quite remarkable frankly from a 22 year old football player and found yourself in a ruck with a fellow poster. A gift you have clearly.

Randy - Very good 😆. Tin foil hat brigade remember the full term.

Zoo I think you will find it was my stalker who when replied that I supported free school meals anyways and Rashfords campaign you then decided to make more personal comments. Unfortunately as with most who have the same agenda on here they see no wrong in anyone who fits their agenda and everything wrong with those that don’t

Just to add their are various comments by posters especially Erimus saying that posters have taken a thread about an achievement by a young footballer and derailed it. I don’t seem to have seen you pull up any for that though either 🙄

Zoo, unfortunately this thread was sadly spoilt long before Cooper came along, with petty comments then after a short while something that was so rewarding was hijacked to show posters hatred towards Boris, more than praising the young lad, sad really but this board is slowly resembling the old board

This thread is disappointing, why does it all have to turn into a slanging match, Marcus Rashford has done something more amazing than most us will ever do and it turns into squabbling

Couldnt agree more Thor, some of the posters should be ashamed on themselves

Most of that is unintelligible. I'd suggest you write it out in rough before you post next time.

I could do. As you well know and seem quite irked about it’s not like I have any work to do 😆😆.

Still all a good laugh though 🥳🥳

I have a lot of respect for you Erimus and enjoy many of your posts but this thread did not start off the way you would like to think it did. It started off very critical of the Government who, at the time the thread was first first created, were refusing to extend the the free school meals programme over the summer holidays. It's inconceivable that Boris Johnson only found out about the campaign yesterday, more likely he was shamed into the u-turn by the weight of public support for Marcus Rashford's efforts. After the u-turn this thread predictably went two ways; 1) massive congratulations for the fine up-standing young man that is Marcus Rashford and 2) a continuation of the criticism of a Government who believe children's hunger ceases during the summer holidays.

I had posted elsewhere of my admiration for Marcus Rashford however what provoked me into contributing to this particular thread was Cooper's posting of a 5 week old newspaper article accusing parents of trying to obtain cigarettes and alcohol using the free meal vouchers and predicting with this u-turn there would be more of the same. He chose to make that his 1st contribution to the debate rather than giving any praise to Marcus Rashford.

I'm going to sign off from this thread now despite Cooper's goading and I wish you well.

Take your point BoroFur, you are indeed correct, I was wrong
I was under the assumption that it started praising MR, which should have been the case, there are enough political threads as it is, it just seems to turn in to a slanging match

Apologies again BoroFur, I will leave it here as I've said my piece

Ido hope this isn't aimed at me? I praised Rashford at the time and Ithink it's amazing what he has done.

I also think it terrible that he HAD to do it. There is a political element to this thread becasue what Rashford did was a brilliant campaign to overturn a poor political decision. I honestly think that's the main problem mith this country. You'll always get self serving, uncaring scum supporting Boris regardless. It's the apathy of people with no dog in a fight. Apathy that makes them unable to see, or ignore how bad this governement has become. I actually don't blame the Borisettes too much, nasty people are just nasty. it's the "oh can we not talk about politics" brigade that is allowing this lying, decitful goverenment to propogate it's horrible policies. Thing is, you SHOULD be worried about politics becasue it's destroying the coutnry you live in.

I’m all for not talking politics as I can never be arsed with it so get where Erimus is coming from but even he brought up Dominic Cummings to me in a thread about us debating whether football should be back which I still don’t understand but won’t push him for answers. But that’s water under the bridge now, tbf there was a large political element to this Rashford thread as Smalltown rightly says.

Your eyes are open?

So you're happy your prime minister is now, almost constantly lying? On matter that affect the health of children, benefits to people struggling with work and recovery from a pandemic? How can you be happy you are being lied to about such fundamental things that affect your health?

Where did I say I was happy?
