Luton agree fee for Giles

Honestly....move on,I think he would have had a difficult second season anyway. We can't be held to ransom, like in the past.We now have a coach who can spot talent has a clear strategy and knows football.I think there is better out there.

Money is not infinite, I don't think Luton will be far into double figures next season though Giles delivery into the box may get them some goals.. if they can retain possession long enough & have enough players up field at the same time..

Without any malice I just fear they are in for the worst PL campaign in history, so far..

Chuffed for whatever happens to Giles. He done us a real service last season. It shows what shrewd Management and coaching can achieve - including Archer, Ramsey and Chuba. Things move on. We never know whats around the corner. No one could have predicted last season. Hopefully the foundations established last season can be built on. Good luck to Giles if he has gone to Kenilworth Road. Its not the end of Boro as we know it. (y)

If the recruitment team rate this Bangura and he is 10% of the price of Giles then all good for me. Get the lad in. 5M a hell of a lot of money for a left back for us at the moment.
It’s a top, top fee for a full back in the championship. I liked Giles.. but I’m glad we’re not laying out a massive fee.

Bangura would be another 'unknown ' player with no experience in this country or the championship, don't we already have enough of that type of player?
It’s the new model and will continue for a while until we start to get heavily positive in the transfer budget

Good luck to him. He was fantastic for us. The chances are very high that Luton will be back in the championship next season. We also have a fighting chance of promotion. Oh the irony. In a years time this story could have a completely different angle.
But he's in the Premier League NOW. We don't know what will happen this year but the fact remains he's in a better position right now.

I hope you're right and we're going up (I don't care about their position) but there's a lot of ifs and buts for you to suggest there's any level of irony at play.

I'm gutted, he's an awesome player but I accept that we can't offer what he wants. I hope he does well because he's a great player she he did great for us.

Not being biased but I'd choose Boro over Luton any day regardless of them being in the prem.Decent coach but everything else don't look good can't see them winning 5 games if there do then we'll done to them.
You literally are being biased. To suggest otherwise is just silly mate.

I've not worked out the probability bit So people think we're a shoe-in for the Premier League? I would rather be in their position and worrying about coming down rather than ours and trying to go up. Does anybody disagree?

It’s a moment in time, at Luton he’s gonna be pinned back, likely defending for large spells which he’s not great at, instead of utilising his attacking talents, his stock could be so low next summer
