Going gto be interesting to see how the US press handle this given the outpouring of tacit support to the gunman.

Both the right and left have been united in their views on this, going to be tough to get a jury to be impartial if they have the right man I feel.
Gutted.
For him and hope he wriggles out of it for the sake of humanity

I don’t think I’ve seen anything like this before outside of a Hollywood movie..

The levels of support for the shooter seem to be huge. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.. what the fall out will be and how the defence approaches the case.

It feels a bit like the people vs corporate america.. it almost has the makings of a civil war.

Taking the very obvious fact that a man has been assassinated out of the equation.. it is very interesting. What if someone just..

Hmm

Tin foil hat on here. But they'll absolutely fill his phone/ laptop with horrible images etc (I think you know what I mean) can't have the lower classes uniting together can they. Once the public hear he's a Wrongun that'll be that.

I agree tbh, they can't allow him to become a martyr. They have already been showing a book review he did on the unibombers book to try and show how "evil" he is where he states
"
These companies don’t care about you, or your kids, or your grandkids. They have zero qualms about burning down the planet for a buck, so why should we have any qualms about burning them down to survive?

We’re animals just like everything else on this planet, except we’ve forgotten the law of the jungle and bend over for our overlords when any other animal would recognize the threat and fight to the death for their survival. “Violence never solved anything” is a statement uttered by cowards and predators."

And tbh I agree with almost all of what he writes there!

Regardless of whether you have sympathy for his politics or not, he has taken the law into his own hands and killed a man.

Every person, no matter whether they're an angel or a scoundrel has the right to their own life.
I don't think people dispute this, however, given the misery medical debt causes millions of Americans it is easy to understand the support this man has garnered. Additionally, what choice do Americans have given democrats and republicans unwillingness to take the insurance companies on in any meaningful way? Sometimes the nuclear option is all people have left!

Look at the hanging of Musilini! Where those people wrong for taking the law into their own hands after years of abuse from his regime?

Life is not black and white and sometimes political violence is the only way people have to fight back and make people take notice.

The victim is responsible for 10s of thousand of deaths and even more bankruptcies all in the name of profit, hard to have sympathy for a person who lives a life without care for their fellow human beings.

But did he break the law in doing so?

Probably not.

Don't fight the man, fight the system.

Absolutely, and this is the start of what will continue as people are oppressed then they’ll fight back in the ways that they can….

Would you stand in front of the victim's wife & kids, look them in the eye, and say he deserved to be shot and killed in cold blood for what he did, and not only that but the killer should get off scott free?
Could his family do the same to the 10s of thousands of families his policies have killed? Or the thosands more that are in sometimes millions of dollars of debt because they have refused coverage?

Whether the victim was a bad person or not is irrelevant. The killer had no right to take his life.

I don't understand the Mussolini comparison. He could have been tried as well, but was shot by partisans. He wasn't hanged. During a war. Are you saying that communists don't have to adhere to the law?

Apologies his body was hung but you are right he was shot.

I am not saying that at all, I am saying I understand and sympathise with the shooter without fully condoning his actions.

The CEO in question knowingly used a faulty AI to deny claims, he literally knowingly killed people. However, because of the lack of political will it is impossible to bring these people to justice, sometimes the proletariat need to take action themselves to put the ruling class in check. I feel this is one of those times for America.

One healthcare company reversed its plan to put a time limit on anaesthesia..

So the CEO who made that decision knew that it was immoral otherwise he would have changed his mind on the back of this.

The law needs to protect people from these sorts of inhumane activities.. but I think the emphasis maybe on protecting CEOs from these sorts of vigilante attacks. I wonder what the reaction to tgat will be..

Perhaps the bubble has burst? No
More deification of the super rich, the cold blooded and greedy.
