Moaners are gonna moan. They're like poundshop Geordies.

The only owners I would like to see take over MFC from Gibson, would be a supporters trust. Being a billionaire's play thing doesn't really suit me and would fully make me go watch Stockton Town instead. I'd have no interest.

The thing that makes this club special to me is that it's part of our community, to have that taken away would leave a sour taste.

Historically small support? Aren't we something like top 20 in the country for all time average attendances?

We don't compete with big clubs based in cities obviously but we have far better support than many other clubs who've attracted buyers in recent years. Barnsley immediately spring to mind for one.
Some of our fans seem to think we are about the same size as Wycombe wanderers I think.

I know a local lad and boro fan who is keen to buy the club. I know he's spoken to Gibson in the last few years and expressed his interest. My only real concern is he has no previous experience of the professional game.

How much would boro cost. Doubt there’s many fans could afford us
Probably not much to buy MFC, but it's the ongoing losses that would be crippling. Not a huge amount for a billionaire, but shelling out £30 million a year to keep the club afloat would be a big drain for most wealthy people.

It's a depressing thought - life after Steve Gibson!
We've become so used to the club having the best Chairman in the league.

This area has been so so lucky to have SG.

For anybody old enough to remember life before him will appreciate what he has done even more.

It's a worrying thought.

Where would our natural level be nowadays if we had to break even? I doubt it would be champo?
