Leo Wants to go to a back 4

Love Leo but he's bottled it during his stint as interim. Should have gone with a back 4 all along and tried something different.

Spineless first half, as they were at QPR, Reading, Coventry and at home v Cardiff. Managed to get a decent manager sacked too, no doubt they’ll all have a laugh with Cattermole while losing most weeks and then disappear off in the summer when we are in league one.
 
McNair being suspended and Clarke being injured may force the issue.

We either remove almost all cover from the bench or go 4 at the back.
 
Go back to a karanka style back 4. Jones and Giles are perfect for wide midfielders who will help out defensively like adoma used to. Howson can play the leadbitter role we are just missing someone to play Clayton's shielding role.
 
Some of you really have no clue, you just come out with a load of sh it. If it was as easy as changing to a back 4 after years of playing wing backs he would. We are in poor form, bereft of confidence. We had a manager who destroyed a lot of that confidence, and as rightly pointed out we have a team of players who are not mentally strong (bottlers). That same manager was sacked because he either wanted to be or pretend to want to be somewhere else. He fu cked us over big style.
If Leo changed to a back 4 straight away we would have lost against Birmingham and you would all say he's naive for changing it so quickly.
 
I think you have to go to what worked at the end of this match against Wigan... a 442 diamond and see where we go from there. I just can't get on board with a 5 at the back. Our version has been figured out. If the next manager say he wants to play a 5.... I'd tell him to do one

It's not even been a year since we started playing wing backs.
Wilder came in last November.

Almost every player who started today will have had many years of experience playing with 4 at the back, it's not new to them.
 
I think if we play 4 at the back plus 2 wing backs we might keep a clean sheet.

Its nothing to do with formation its application. The goals against Millwall and today were poor marking and not being tight or aggressive enough. Formation has nothing to do with that.

Our mentality has to change nothing else
