I think we need Warnock back.. not cool, never go back and all that. But until end of the season give it to Warnock and build again in the Summer.Warnock played with wing back more often than a 4.

Yeah that is very strange.Listening to his interview, the impression I got was he wanted to play a back four but had been instructed to play with a 5. His comments certainly seemed to be along the lines of "we are much better, and a more attacking force playing 433". In fact that's exactly what he said.
Which makes me wonder who's actually in charge at the moment?
There may very well come a time this season when we need to bring in a Warnock type manager to steady the ship and try to keep us up…..I think we need Warnock back.. not cool, never go back and all that. But until end of the season give it to Warnock and build again in the Summer.
I think we’re pretty close.. if not already there!Tj

Couldn't he mean it suits us going forward? The 'attacking force' bit maybe he was just meaning we were too exposed / weak at the back as a 4-3-3?Yeah that is very strange.
Not sure he would come back, he wasn’t impressed with Scott or the nature of his departure from the club.I think we need Warnock back.. not cool, never go back and all that. But until end of the season give it to Warnock and build again in the Summer.
433"we have shown we can play with a 4 without fear"
Lets get back to a back 4 - sack this wingback **** off

After 14 games we shouldn’t be looking for a caretaker until the end of the season. It would also be an acknowledgment that the ‘plan’ of sporting director and whole recruitment ethos was a failureI think he would come back if he was asked.
The first goal, albeit from a corner, followed a spell of play in which they successfully attacked the space behind the wingbacks several times in the space of a couple of minutes, they knew what they were setting their stall out to do to get at this system.I think if we play 4 at the back plus 2 wing backs we might keep a clean sheet.
Its nothing to do with formation its application. The goals against Millwall and today were poor marking and not being tight or aggressive enough. Formation has nothing to do with that.
Our mentality has to change nothing else
Is the team being picked by commitee?Listening to his interview, the impression I got was he wanted to play a back four but had been instructed to play with a 5. I think our start has been so bad that it is putting off any potential manager. We need automatic promotion form just to make the playoffs so any managers work is going to be massively undermined and be a blot on their CV it will only be an attractive prospect imo if Leo puts enough points on the table before the wells cup break.. and then he makes a case for himself to keep the job further still. Then the other option is when we get further on in the season and it becomes a rescue job. Risky for a new manager, but the promise of a clean slate the following season or even a rebuild in league one becomes more attractive. After 14 games we shouldn’t be looking for a caretaker until the end of the season. I can certainly see us needing a caretaker to keep us up as I think he will appoint Leo or Cattermole and it not working but we are 20 games and another failed transfer window away from it yet
I also think he’s wanted Carrick but Carrick wants to bring his own team with him and Gibson wants to keep Leo, Liddell and Cattermole to all stay in post, which I can imagine is a sticking point for any new manager
I don’t think the hierarchy could face the embarrassment mate. NW would make a song and dance about how he was wronged the first time around, and that’s why it wouldn’t work. Only my opinion.I think he would come back if he was asked.
Relegation would be more embarrassing.I don’t think the hierarchy could face the embarrassment mate. NW would make a song and dance about how he was wronged the first time around, and that’s why it wouldn’t work. Only my opinion.
Of course it would, but I would be really surprised if they went to NW with cap in hand. I think Hell would freeze over first. Obviously, I’ll hold my hands up in apology if it happens and stand corrected, but I can’t honestly see it.Relegation would be more embarrassing.
No apology needed lolOf course it would, but I would be really surprised if they went to NW with cap in hand. I think Hell would freeze over first. Obviously, I’ll hold my hands up in apology if it happens and stand corrected, but I can’t honestly see it.
