Labour WILL renationalise railways!

We don't have to look as far as Germany. We've got excellent public transport that is reliable and for a reasonable cost in London. It's the rest of the country that gets no infrastructure spending on it that is the problem. If the rest of us got the spending that London has had we'd be able to compete with those other country's offerings.

I raised this with Jacob Young ages ago about the imbalance in infrastructure spending per capita between London and the North East. The response I got was that's because there's more people in London.

About time they invested in some people owned power as well. Ridiculous that french and german conpanies see Britian as an investment and we dont

I couldn't agree more about people driving less but you only have to look at the lack of support for the High Speed rail lines that are currently being built that public support is not behind the railways.

Because it's on a route that already has a decent service compared to many others.

Just to add that the railway infrastructure is already publicly owned as are some of the operators.
