Why are they trying to close it off. I understand it's PD Ports private land, but the place is a magnet for locals to see the wildlife and the ships in and out of the Tees. Fly tippers and bad dog owners make it a mess sometimes though.

Ona broader note it is beyond time we had a "right to roam" like in Scotland and that common land stolen from the people was returned.

I’m not a fan of his, but it seems that a decision to temporarily close a road that’s not far from something that’s about to be subjected to some high explosives, is a pretty sensible one and not something we need to petition against.

I love the gare. I have camped down there several times over the last 2 years. The dog **** pile is a joke but waking up in the dunes to a sun rise is unreal. Last time I camped was near the lighthouse as watching the ships come in at early light and darkness was also unreal.
