Keep the South Gare accessible

My friend runs the South Gare litter pickers and has been going there with his car and trailer every day for the last year, cleaning the place up. It’s not closing. Only a temporary closure due to the blast furnace getting demolished.
 
Saw a VERA episode (repeat) within the last 10 days that featured a story that used the green huts and bit of filming I think was Paddy's Hole, the other side of the road from them. Was half way through when I started so hope to see it again , now what was the series and episode :unsure:
 
Is it open to drive down there now? My mrs has never been so i wanted to drive down Saturday morning.

Last time i went was about 10+ year ago, drove right down the bottom and there was an old chainlink fence which had giant gaps in it you could walk through to get down the bottom towards the lighthouse?
